The front door sticks, hard to get in and out of building! Linens stained! Wash cloth with brown stain! Not to mention there was a cricket that sown the night in the room! Bathroom floor was dirty! Needless to say we checked out early and was told we would be receiving a refund for one night and have yet to receive it! Expedia was notified and roaring brook ranch was notified! The worst place I’ve ever stayed at!

The staff was great every one was helpful place lost electricity because of a storm moved us to new rooms had a problem and took care of it most off the place is remodeled rooms were clean this place is quiet will stay there next year tom

Nice would come Back

After all the hype about lake George, we got to our destination, it looked very run down! They told us they had just taken over the business the front desk person was the owner he was very nice! Once we got checked in went to our room and surprise the place looked like they just made the bed! Very dusty humid the ac was loud. The place had a musky smell. We stayed for the night the bed was very itchy we figured by the morning it would get better but no! Got up for breakfast which they told us they had a chef they would cook breakfast that we would have to pay which was cool, went there and the place was empty they had some bagels some fruit coffee the toaster didn’t work 😡. The best and only good part was the horses! The ppl who ram the horses were very nice ppl. Got back to our room after the horseback riding my wife got an allergic reaction to the dust! We decided to pack our stuff and proceeded to check out! We planned to stay two nights we ended up there for just one night. And got charged for two!

Great atmosphere, staff was superior, rooms were clean and spacious.

Overall it was a lovely experience.

This property is being renovated and is under construction. The photos do not represent what it actually looks like and has at this time. The pools are open and there is a fire pit. HOWEVER, there is NO restaurant or Food, there was NO cleaning service during the stay and we had to get and return our own towel. We also did our own trash and had to ask for the bags. The King suite that we booked and expected was NOT renovated as pictured. We did enjoy the horseback riding and fire pit. Location is also great. Management is very nice and responsive, but we still did not get any of the service that we expected based on the review and price.

Nice property.

We had a wonderful relaxing time! I cant say enough positive about the owner and his staff. Everyone was so gracious and communication wonderful! The property is beautiful and I look forward to seeing all the changes so many are working so hard for. The horseback riding was amazing!

We had a wonderful stay! It is about a mile from the heart of Lake George, so you have peacefulness and quiet. Had chairs right outside of our room, so we could sit outside and relax. All of the guests that we met were wonderful. Yes, they are renovating the resort, but the owner was more than happy to show us around and tell us about what he plans to do with the resort. The owner was wonderful and was more than willing to share his plans/vision for the resort. He's only owned the resort for about 3 months, but he has a great vision for what he wants to do. The resort has two pools (indoor and outdoor), outdoor was the only one open. The pools were in great shape. Yes, we checked out the indoor pool. They do offer horseback riding for a fee. It was worth it. We had a great time! I'd go for a trail ride again. Can't wait to go back in the future to see everything that they have done to the resort!

Our room looked just as pictured online. The resort is currently undergoing renovations to the property. Food has been made available with on site "food trucks". The site bar and restaurant should be beautiful upon completion. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Guests seemed to be enjoying the swimming pool and special events were planned to enhance your stay. We were only staying one night. Wishing the new owners much success.

The owners were so personable and so easy to work and talk to! Appreciate all they did for us!

A lot of the buildings appeared to be abandoned and the driveway was incomplete and very rough. The property has great potential after renovations. The room was in good shape and the front desk staff was very friendly. No Wi-Fi password was provided at check-in and the phone number for the hotel went to voicemail. You can text the phone number and they will answer the text. The pool had a tiki bar and was very clean. I will stay again in the future after renovations are completed.

This resort was a great find, and I can’t wait to go back already. We rented 6 rooms as a group for a Lacrosse tournament at Lake George. The owners are amazing and accommodating, they made our stay one of the best and most enjoyable that I’ve had in a while. They are new owners after the pandemic shut the resort down and what they have done in a short time is amazing and the plans they have to put new life and ideas into the resort sound terrific. We also went for the horseback ride that they offered there which was great. Looking forward to next summer unless something brings us to Lake George earlier. Highly recommended 👍

We arrived on Thursday and were prepared this resort is under construction so knew there was no restaurant available yet and that the place is a work in progress . Room was spacious, clean and ready for us when we arrived at 2:30ish. Hit the pool that day and it certainly was not green. The grounds are amazing & the location is about an 8 minute drive into lake George village and was nice being out of the hubbub of the village but close enough to everything. We went horseback riding the next day and the ranch hands were awesome with my son 12 years old who never rode before. Had a great time and we had three guides with us. Friday many more guests arrived and we had a very nice pool party, DJ, drinks and food truck available to us. The gals working did a fantastic job trying to keep up and we all had a nice evening- kids had a blast as well running around the property, hanging at the fire pit and just making friends. Yes this place needs some tender loving care and it looks like it’s starting and we can’t wait to come back when Reno is finished ! Go with an open mind ! Thank you for a nice time Hardeep & staff. Can’t wait to come back to see the place back in its glory!

An employee parked his red car - filled with trash - right outside our window. The car alarm went off every hour all night long for about 20 minutes, making it impossible to sleep. The pool area was quite dirty most of the day. The place generally looks run down & in need of attention/many repairs. Hiking trails were not maintained at all & were unusable. Horse barn & staff were a highlight, very friendly and knowledgeable.

This property is under new ownership and he was very customer service oriented. However the property is old and the rooms and property are in need of a complete makeover. The main lodge is under renovation and the restaurant and bar area cannot be used. None of this was revealed on the website.

Roaring Brook is a very nice place off the beaten path, but not by much at all. The new owner is remodeling parts of the resort. We stayed in a remodel room and it was very nice. Our room was across from the pool which was nice. You can signup for horse riding, the horses are beautiful and very healthy.
