No frills…solid night stay.

I really liked my short stay at this Hampton Inn. The staff was very nice throughout the stay, and they were able to help me check-in early. The location was great. It was easy access to an event on campus, but it wasn’t crazy busy like some places closer. The room was clean and had nice toiletries provided. The breakfast was better than most hotels, and I loved the 24 hr. coffee and tea bar in the lobby. If I go to Columbus, I would definitely stay here again.

Very Clean Hotel

We arrived and there was no electricity. We were basically told we stay or go. Then we were given a king room when we booked a queen and were told well it’s an upgrade. Even though we needed 2 beds. There seas not effort to make anything better for us.

It was very clean and the staff was great!

Check in was easy and friendly… offfered bottles of water. Heard the typical doors slamming starting at 6am (people are rude..close your door quietly) Breakfast was awesome with Mike being ever so helpful!

We were just staying the night on a long road trip, this was a nice surprise for us. Close to quite a few fun restaurants.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. It is very convenient to Ohio State University. Staff is always friendly and hotel is clean.

Would like a guest laundry option or reminder that a take out fluff & fold service was available before the last day. I washed my own clothes in the shower and used a hairdryer to partially complete the process.

Bed was very comfortable.

A bit far from OSU (30min walk) but safe east walk in nice safe area. Not much shopping in area

We stayed for one night. We found a bed bug on our bed and I put it into a ziploc bag and gave it to the front desk. They said they would let the manager know. We had to put all of our belongings in trash bags and spend the rest of our day washing everything at home.

The room was big. Great bathroom and shower! There is a very nice supply of shampoo, conditioner, body gel, hand lotion and liquid hand soap! No bathtub but we never use a tub at hotels. Lobby is huge and has around the clock hot drinks! Staff was very friendly and our room had a view of the Olentangy River!

Carmen was excellent and very helpful

Everyone was very nice & pleasant. We checked in late & I called the hotel to let them know. Their main concern was getting there safely. Check in was super easy & fast. The room was clean & beds were good. No complaints. Coffee setup in the lobby was a plus. I will drink coffee 24/7 so that was a treat. Breakfast was plentiful just not to my palate. There is a Bob Evans right on the property. Plenty of restaurants walking distance. I honestly have no complaints with this property. Hope this was helpful.

We have stayed at this Hampton Inn more than a dozen times and have had good experiences in the past. Not this time. 1. We had three false alarms in a five day period, one of which was late at night. 2. During the first of them, customers on floors 4, 5, and 7 complained that the fire doors were locked. The staff said that was impossible, despite attestations from 10 people. 3. Some hours later they showed us that the fire doors were now open and used that to suggest the 10 of us were mistaken. 4. The telephone in our room did not work. The staff said they would put in a new battery and return it. That took more than two days, and when it was returned it still did not work. 5. A dog was permitted in the breakfast area on at least one morning. 6. When the room was serviced they failed to change the bed linens. 7. The vending and ice rooms were locked and no soft drinks or ice were available at the front desk area.

There appeared to be security in the parking lot all night.

Everything was clean and tidy! Great free breakfast offerings.

This Hampton Inn and Suites was lovely. Updated, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Staff was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff very friendly. Complimentary coffee, sodas and waters. Nice breakfast too!

Pool was a reason for staying and it was oos. Routy gentleman at breakfast scared us.

The person who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. Location was good to Ohio State University.

The one issue we had was the fact that you could hear all the doors slamming closed in the morning, sound proofing of the rooms is lacking. There was a group of young people that checked out first thing Saturday morning & it was a minimum of 8 doors slamming closed before 7am. Not what ya want when you’re trying to sleep in for a change. Also for morning breakfast buffet you had to ask front desk for water. None readily available in the buffet area. So if you didn’t know to ask you had zero water. The breakfast bar attendant also refused to make more vanilla waffle batter when there was still a half an hour of breakfast buffet time available…she said “sorry but I’m not making more”. Then proceeded to grumble & complain the whole time she worked the buffet area. 😐
