Perfect for a solo birthday trip.

We have been loyal Marriott members for years and have ownership. Never had a problem with quality. We paid $470 a night expected so much more. So many problems with his hotel on the water pressure to parking to hot water issues, plaster issues, etc. I would never recommend this place.

This resort is wonderful and overall an amazing resort to spend time at in Barbados. The staff is very polite and helpful.

Receptionist Tamisha was very Nice and Helpful. The staff was very hospitable. Their was a tour guide Name Tony nickname "Tony the Tiger" was excellent. He went the extra mile to show us things we didnt know about... Great time

Overall an OK experience. The hotel has nice staffs and good facilities. The room is very clean and nicely decorated. The beach is really nice. The pools are nice. Now here are the negatives: Food: Really really subpar. The selection, quality and quantity is really poor. We had to eat out most of the time to not deal with hotel foods. Activities: The nightly activities end at 10:30 and they usually involve loud music. If you want to rest early or if you are a early sleeper. Good luck. Biggest gripe: During the last two days of my stay, I have had noise problems. I got waken up at 2:30 AM two nights in a row due to loud talking and yelling on the patio. Also loud bassy music was playing well after midnight on the last day of my stay. I was not sure it was guests or staffs but why it was allowed is beyond my knowledge. Think twice before booking this hotel if you are looking for good food or if you want a relaxing experience. You might be disappointed.

The hotel itself was lovely - in terms of the room - we booked the two-story room and the views were amazing. However, for the price we paid - the food options were horrible for an all inclusive. If you are used to staying at All Inclusive resorts (like Jamaica etc) - this is NOTHING like those resorts. The food options were extremely disappointing - honestly, breakfast at a Holiday Inn has more options and tastes better. You had to make dinner reservations and again, there was a set menu which you had to choose from which was extremely small. The cafe on the property also had a set menu and closed at 6:30 pm - which was crazy - so no coffee or tea at night. If you wanted room service, you had to pay for delivery per order (which is insane considering this was an all-inclusive resort) . I would not recommend the hotel given the cost and would look for another resort even if you have to pay a little extra. When I booked the reservation - the description included basic spa services - hence why I selected this hotel. However, when I went to book my spa services, I was informed there was an error in the description and that unless I stayed 5 nights, no spa services was included. FALSE advertising and they would not even honor what I had seen to book. If I was able to cancel the reservation then, I would have. Find another hotel and save your money!

Great staff great hotel. Beach was small but nice. Very happy with the service.

We stayed at waves hotel for our honeymoon and it was fantastic! The staff were super accommodating and made our stay really special. Since it was a fairly small property, It was nice to take the ferry to see the other hotels/resorts by Elegant hotels without any fees. The beach was stunning and since we had the split room with the ocean view, it was like waking up in paradise each morning. The breakfast, lunch and dinner options were great as well. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely go back again 10/10

It’s an all inclusive resort. They have 2 restaurants, one bar, one coffee shop. There’s a bar stand at the beach. It’s a small resort, but has all that you need for a relaxing vacation. The staff members are all very pleasant, accommodating. Food quality is great, but lack of variety. We stayed for a week, so we tried almost everything on the dinner menu. Overall experience is very positive, I will recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Amazing views and great service. The beach was great. Clear water, plenty of room to swim around. Rooms were okay but it doesn’t matter because the views/beach is amazing. The food was 3.5/5. Only okay.

I liked that the property had an adult only area which was nice and quiet, with a beautiful pool. I wasn't crazy about having to cross the busy road each time we wanted to get to the main hotel. However, the good food, friendly staff and amenities made it all worthwhile.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating with anything needed. Mainly adults and older children on vacation. We only saw one other couple with a small infant. The beach was beautiful, but rocky so have your feet be prepared:) Rooms were updated and comfortable with a beautiful view. The property has two dining locations in which you make the reservations at the front desk. Overall great experience and stay, especially traveling with our son who turned one. They made us very special and memorable. Would absolutely recommend for families or couples.

A lovely hotel, worth a visit.

I enjoyed the Waves hotel very much. The view was amazing, hard to beat. The room was clean and the staff friendly and kind. The foot was decent, but not amazing. The bus stop right outside is very convenient for journeying around the area, very cheap as well.

We travelled with our young family and unfortunately this property isn't suitable, it should be made very clear which pool is for the adults only on the websites that the hotel is advertised for booking. This would be our first All inclusive holiday so this may have affected our views on the stay as its not something we would usually book, it really did feel that quality was let go for quantity and overall the food was average at best. Breakfast is due to start at 7am but was consistently not ready until 7.30 and so maybe they should consider changing the time. In line with Barbados in general we were expecting a really friendly service but quite often the staff were dismissive and rude, this didn't apply to all but most. Apart from breakfast, the biggest example of this service was definitely in the spa, with the advice to arrive early and enjoy the relaxation room, there was no such guidance on arrival, instead a very rushed treatment. The hotel offers inclusive treatments for half an hour as a package and it seems that the quality is lost again for the quantity. I'm guessing this is what makes the staff seem like they feel undervalued and this comes through in what they provide. I had paid extra for a treatment as I wanted something more but left feeling very disappointed over all. On a positive note, the room was clean and modern enough, it was a suitable size for us to fit in together without been overcrowded and the setting and views were gorgeous.

Overall, our stay was good. We had a pool-facing room on the other side of the road to the main hotel, which is quiet and with nice gardens. Food is good - no complaints. Bed comfy and room clean etc. Enjoyed having watersports available when the weather permitted (1 day out of 3). - Just be aware there are a lot of steps at the hotel. - It is also NOT adult-only. - There are a lot of rules in place e.g. must book all evening meals, hard to change pool towels, no early checking flexibility. - Some (not all) of the staff can be a little unfriendly and abrupt, especially reception and coffee shop staff don't seem overly customer-focused or that happy to help. - Be aware there is no curtesy room/ changing room if you have a late flight. Number of people end up showering at the pool and getting changed in public (!!) if they had evening flights. Poor show for such an expensive (marriott) hotel. Overall, the hotel is fine but it is very, very expensive for what it is and the offerings.

Superb customer service all day long

Small resort right on the water. Beach is nice, although a little rocky. Resort is quiet perfect for relaxing. Food is very good. Fresh fish was served daily. Staff is wonderful and goes above and beyond for the clients.

A slightly mixed bag but only because we had a baby with us. The hotel is lovely and the food is great. Had we just been travelling as a couple I dont think I would have any negatives. The staff were incredible with our child and were so helpful with any requests we had to get him food outside of restaurant hours. The main issues were that the adults only pool is the nice big pool and you are relegated to the tiny pool, if the 3 loungers with shade are taken you have no where to sit out of the sun with a young child. The beach has a tree that drops very poisonous fruit and leaves that causes blisters so you also have to be very vigilant there if they are playing on the beach. That made it a bit of a tricky stay but overall the hotel is a wonderful choice for adults.

Great people. Spa was great as well as the pool and beach. Only negative was the building was in need of updating for the price.

Fabulous place, will definitely be returning. Food a little disappointing would have preferred more local cuisine, but the location, service and facilities are excellent.
