Nice and quiet Great pool

Great property, easy access to beach, city centre and surrounding areas. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Excellent service all around

The location of the hotel was very convenient - near the seaside and the sea was very near and good for the evening. Breakfast was very good with a good range of local food offered. The facilities on the beach were not great. The sun umbrella should have been upgraded and the lido cleanliness should be improved given that it was not exclusively reserved to the hotel. The hotel offered a bike service but the bikes were broken and one broke down whilst using it. The hotel offered kindly a dinner and changed the bikes - this was appreciated. The personnel should be more experienced and trained more.

Fantastic second stay. Staff, cleanliness of rooms, beautiful common area spaces and a good breakfast make it our choice when visiting Kalamata. This our second year returning and we look forward to next year.

Beautiful 5 star hotel albeit a bit remote from the nearest village. Perfect to forget about the rest of the world.

My husband and I wrapped up our Greek vacation with a 4 night stay in Kalamata. The Horizon Blu Hotel was the perfect place to unwind from a very fast paced vacation around several of the Greek Islands. Our spacious oceanfront room was immaculate with a well stocked mini bar. We really loved our private plunge pool. The sea and mountain views were simply beautiful. The breakfast that was included with our stay was fresh and delicious; there were several options for any appetite. They even had a do-it-yourself Greek coffee station. We enjoyed the main pool area and beach alike. The hotel provides chairs and umbrellas for those staying at the property. There is also food/bar service at the beach. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and efficient. We will definitely come back to the Horizon Blu when we return for a visit to this beautiful seaside town.

Beautiful room and amenities. Views were also beautiful. The pool was cold, but it is March. Breakfast was delicious. Dinner was okay. Overall would highly recommend!

Excellent accommodation... very friendly staffs... excellent view and position...amazing room... The lobby area need only a fresh of parfum because there is a bad smelt.

The rooms and staff were lovely, breakfast offered a lot of choice, but the dining room was not what would be expected in a 5 star hotel. Outside pool was closed for winter and indoor pool was chilly and in a rather dull lower ground floor area.

Good staff

This was a great small hotel. Very accommodating and had Netflix! The pool area and pool restaurant was very nice. We opted for the sea view and it was great. Breakfast didn’t have a big selection but was included. If I am in the area again I will stay here.

Overall the hotel was nice. The breakfast was just ok. Accommodations could’ve been better. It seemed like they lacked personnel.

They were friendly and eager to help. The views are extraordinary and location is convenient (with a car). I will definitely return and possibly stay longer.

Excellent facility and service

The spa, gym and restaurant are all closed. With all the closures they're effectively a 2* hotel, but ati charging 5* prices. Terrible level of service since Covid 19, when other comparable hotels are operating as normal. The outdoor pool was only open from 10am until 6pm, despite it being 30 degrees and the pool area being busy at 6pm. When I queried it with the receptionist, she couldn't care less. No information provided on services or the local area. Very poor customer service for a supposed 5* hotel. On the booking it stated we would have a bath and a shower, but our room only contained a shower. Breakfast was mediocre and the room was so dark and dingy we struggled to get ready in the evening. All in all a disappointing experience and the hotel just didn't care.

The service was absolutely incompetent. The pool bar restaurant with only 4 tables occupied took 20 min to bring 2 coca colas. When we came down to have dinner in the hotel restaurant the man at the reception/check in said there is no restaurant in the hotel. When I pulled up the website for the hotel he said this is not our hotel. I asked him to take a look at the pictures and then he said ah yes it is the hotel but the restaurant is closed. I'm sorry but please train your staff..

Incredible property with outstanding rooms, a magnificent staff, and a stunning view of the sea.

Location; breakfast offerings; room services offerings were superbly priced, delicious, and presented very well - at signature pizza twice and angus burger, plus chicken dishes twice; lovely large balcony facing the sea and smaller balcony facing away from the sun but views of pool and other property amenities; and, staff was very helpful in planning our getaways to Sparti; Messini; Koroni; and, the desired local sites we wanted to visit or frequent to eat. Finally, the housekeeping team was awesome. We will return to this property.

Very enjoyable, close to the beach and they gave us a free upgrade with a private pool. It was wonderful and breakfast had a large selection. It also had ample parking on site so we didn’t worry about the car. I would definitely recommend.

The property is very well planned and it is very attractive. The facilities are very good and the service and attendance of all personnel is very commendable. We definitely recommend it to others and we would like to stay there again.The hotel may need to consider the privacy on the verandas between rooms.
