It was an ok experience Could have been better with consideration to amenities like soap in the bathroom, salt and pepper in the kitchen (dispensers were empty)

The apartment was spacious but we found objects that were left from prior guests in our room. There was rarely someone at the desk when we needed anything. Very noisy at night. Location was good. Close to all the shops and restaurants

The rooms themselves were fine, and modern, but we got kicked off the wifi hours before the checkout time of 11 am. Also the walking areas surrounding the property and parking lot were littered with garbage and the exterior of the building looked low-rent. Nice place overall, but building management need to do a little more work on a few things.

Parking situation wasn’t as advertised - I had to park on the street, and the room was extremely bare bones. I ended up bringing my own towels into the room since only one was provided. Was in a good location and was pretty clean, but otherwise a disappointing, uncomfortable stay. I was glad I only booked one night at the place.

Nice location for tourists. Very new and clean rooms. Easy access to multiple good restaurants around.

We enjoyed our one-night stay at Lava Apartments. Very clean and easy to access from the main road (with free parking). The hosts emailed our access code, which worked fine. Room was large and clean and very comfortable. Right in the heart of Akureyri. Would definitely visit again.

Easy check-in, and appreciated the free parking on site. Loved how close this was to the main area!

Very clean and quiet, however no desk person made it difficult to find the designated parking as a foreigner the street names look similar. We did eventually find it.

Clean, close location to restaurants But if you are a tall person i wouldnt recommend this place, ceiling low at some spot and you will hit it.

I liked the town centre location and cleanliness. We did not have enough towels for 2 people and the window is a luke in the roof.

Great room and very easy check-in process. Centrally located- about a 5 minute walk to restaurants. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the soap was running low.

No cooking only available microwave and small room for family 4people

The location & bed was perfect. Apartment was pretty and quiet. But the shower was so uncomfortable. I was staying 107 with personal shower. Low water pressure, too hot or too cold water, and I could not fix the shower head. So during the stay, I just took a shower in the bath outside the town... The reply was slow but the staff (who I encountered in accident) was kind. He came in the room before the checkout time, but it did not matter but it could be problem if someone was in shower or sth. But still recommend this place! Except the shower, everything was so good.

Great stay.

The pillowcase was dirty, hair remained on the bedsheet. The electric pot also had water left, so it was uncomfortable to use. There were four lights on the ceiling of the living area, only one was normal, one was missing, and the other was gloomy, and the other was blink, so the whole light was not available to use.

Very clean, modern, and friendly staff. Parking was a little limited but manageable.

Wonderful all around

The room I got was a loft ( slanted ceiling). I am a taller person, so this was not convenient. The mini fridge was located in the low slant of the room. The shower is extremely tight. You could only open one of the doors partial way because it hit the sink. We did not receive a bath mat. There was a hot water kettle in the room, but the lid was broken so it would not stay closed during boiling or pouring. This is a burn hazard. Unknowingly, the coffee cup I used had a crack in it and my coffee leaked all over the top of the nightstand. What a delight. There was no sugar included in the coffee basket. And only two packets of crappy instant coffee. All of the doors to all the rooms slam. No one works the front desk because everything is automated now, so none of my complaints could be addressed and resolved.

The room was ok. Looked rather new. The location is great. The house and the room looked as it was newly renovated. Nothing to complain about. Except maybe that the room is rather small. Good to have a fridge and a kettle in the room.

The stay at Lava Apartments was really good and we got almost everything we needed (except for a hairdryer and a toaster ) Just 2-3 minutes walk from Akureyri Central

Hotel was clean and the self check in function was convenient and easy to use. Building is older and not much onsite parking.
