I reserved a king suite with a tub/shower combination, when I checked in I was given a king suite with a shower, I was told they were all sold out, when I placed my reservation there were 2 available

A little dissapointed that the hotel charged $14 per person for breakfast. So, needless to say, we didnt eat at the hotel.

I have to stay in the Houston area quite a bit. This was the first time staying here and I thought it was great. It has a restaurant inside and the breakfast was way better than any Hotel breakfast buffet at the other places. TV was great, room was quiet. I slept very sounds. Great shower Great everything.

The pool is ridiculously DISGUSTING!!! All.. i ask for in a hotel is a comfortable bed and a clean pool. It had the WORST smell prior to even opening the door. Standing in there was impossible. Whomever gets into the water will be critically ill

desk staff was not interested in actually talking or working with the customers. Usually just self- absorbed. I checked out after staying 5 nights and the lady at the desk didn't even thank me for staying after I asked for a printed receipt and handed her the keys.

I love this hotel. We have stayed in quite a few hotels in this area and so far( IMO)this one was the best. That's including the Westin.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The area felt very safe, super convenient to the highway entrances and the amenities were awesome! The pool was heated, perfectly and VERY clean (both the pool itself and the pool area)
My husband really appreciated the weight room. Which was located directly in front of the pool.
As for the rooms,we stayed in the 2 BR Suite; there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and ample places to stow the luggage without being crowded.
Also, the sound proofing was AMAZING!! With the rooms booked on both sides of us, we never heard anything. Also, once we closed the door to the bedroom, we could no longer hear the YV in the main site area.
My only two complaints (if any) would be that, the time listed in the elevator for the operating hours for the Burger place was wrong and the top of the headboard was super dusty(which my daughter found.)
As for the other amenities, they also had a burger place inside, business areas, two computers, relaxing areas complete with TV's, and an entertainment area, with a billiard table,TV and a bean bag.
Oh and it's located less than 5 mins from the mall and plenty of parking. Which the police patrolled the area a lot.

Well, I’m sorry to say that the morning service for breakfast was totally wrong. It was advertised as being ready at 7 o’clock. We were there at 7:45 and a coffee was cold and no service in sight and when I went to the front to ask the lady What was going on with the breakfast and she says oh I don’t know they’re in the back somewhere. One person finally came out to take care of the already waiting 15 or so people bringing dishes that looked not too appealing to me. My son had coffee and it was lukewarm at best , we mentioned it to the counter lady and she changed a new pot but by then we had lost all appetite and just left to another place. I think the experience was made worse because the lady at the counter seemed pretty nonchalant and acted bothered that I was asking her questions, even though I was very pleasant with her , it’s not the way to run service in a hotel, especially involving food. My bedsheets were pretty wrinkled and I was unsure whether they’ve been changed at all, so I slept with my socks on never going to another Holiday Inn again.

Called ahead to let the hotel know I would be arriving at 3am due to plane delay. While they did hold my room for me, when I got to the hotel at 3am, I had to wait outside for 30 minutes because nobody was at the front desk to unlock the door. Called but no answer either.

The room was comfortable and the staff was super-helpful. Their indoor pool was great and my granddaughters and I spent a lot of time there. My ONLY complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the drain in the tub didn't work so I was unable to take a bath (I'm not real keen on showers), but that's minor and isn't enough to stop me from going there again.

Clean, property was updated, very friendly staff, quiet area but also had a lot of shopping next door to the Katy Mills mall. All around was a very enjoyable pleasant stay. Will definitely be back.

We have stayed here in years past and really liked this Holiday Inn (staff was nice and rooms were clean). I also get “perks” for being an IHG platinum member and they used to honor those nicely as well. NOT ANY MORE!
The two stars come from the horribly rude front desk ladies. When we were checking in she was so rude and abrupt. She definitely could care less if I was supposed to have perks for being a member, nor was she going to honor any. When we finally got to our room it was obvious that it was used for smoking. My little one has asthma and we can’t stay in a room with smoke. So when I interrupted (bc she acted like I messed up her free time) the lady at the desk to ask for new room she argued that they are a nonsmoking hotel. I told her that someone didn’t follow that rule but we needed a new room. She practically threw the new room key at me.
The room was disgustingly dirty. This hotel used to be clean and nice and it definitely was not anymore.
The only nice part is it’s a good location if you are looking to stay busy. Also, the beds are pretty comfortable.
Upon check out we had the privilege of meeting the other rude front desk lady. I’m not sure why these antisocial ladies who hate their jobs would be the ones who work the front desk.
I will say that the guy working at night was nice.

Housekeeping needs to do better. There were dead bugs found in our room behind/under furniture. Places they wouldn’t expect you to look. I usually wouldn’t move furniture around but this particular time I did for space and omg. They do not clean what the eye can’t see.. we did get a new room, the door pretty much fell off the hinges and if it’s been broke and they just got glued it back in place.. aside from that, it not bad!

We stayed only one night, the hotel lobby was decent with a restaurant. The room was small, looks a bit worn for a fairly new hotel, but has the basic accommodations. Nothing special, but also nothing to truly complain about. It had a microwave, which was a nice addition. The walls and floor are thin. I could hear everything all night, which did keep me up part of the night. Not sure I would choose it again with all of the options available in the area.
The night checkin was extremely pleasant. He was nice and accommodating. The person at check out left a LOT to be desired. I would not have her working the front desk.

Upon checking in we were advised our rooms with 2 queen beds were unavailable and we were "upgraded" to a ling bed room. Great except we were traveling with three kids and three adults so the kids have no bed to sleep in.

This hotel is very light, bright and comfortable. The rooms are very spacious as well. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay here again.
My only complaint is that the restaurant they have on-site is not very good or at least the breakfast I had as well as they do not have a good coffee bar selection for example adding a few flavored coffees and flavored creamers would be an inexpensive but great addition for us coffee lovers!

I found bed bugs on our pillows after going to bed . Called front desk and they said the would send some up to look. I waited then took a video and went down to the desk and showed them the video . They switched me rooms but o couldn’t sleep due to feeling like I was being bit and worried about my 6yr old daughter. If it wasn’t so late I would have left . I asked about a refund but they said hotels.com would have to cause of being paid through the 3rd party. I will never stay there again and don’t recommend it. The second room had hair on the sheets and looked like the shower and bathroom floor hadn’t been cleaned.

My stay at this Holiday Inn was a good experience, being next to the Katy Mills shopping area and restaurants allowed me to not have to travel far to shop or dine. Only improvement would be the drainage in the shower, water collected around my feet while I was showering and the drainage seemed clogged.

The staff at front desk were very kind as were the dining and Bar area staff. But for the room issues Our air unit top lid was lose and jumped up and down when air was on was so loud we could not hear and had to turn it off We reported this and all we got was a note saying they could not repair it Were Not offered a new room so had no air for 3 days and the room cleaning came knocking on our door every morning at 8:00 to clean rooms Why was this done so early no towels / toilet paper / cups / coffee were ever replaced each day. Had to ask for these everyday All that was done was beds were made. $408.00 was alot for me to pay for really nothing

I have not stayed in a Holiday Inn and Suites in a very long time due to their establishments being very dated. The Hoilday Inn in Katy Mills exceeded our expectations. I would definitely stay there again.
