The house comfortably fit 2 families and we enjoyed great food at restaurants in walking distance and beautiful hiking in the redwoods (a short drive), with game nights at the big table back at the house.
The property is out-dated with a few quirks ( like the old and noisy heating system). The hot tub is a small portable type that really only fits 2-3 people. We had 2 cars to park, three would have been tough. I had to reach out to manager the day before arrival to get check-in information and there was a week long delay in response to an email I sent after check out. Luckily there were no needs during our stay.

Pros:
We enjoyed our stay at the house. It's in a great location and has a good amount of privacy. The kitchen is very well equipped and comes with basic cooking needs like oil and seasonings. There are a good number of beds and they were comfortable. The toilets come with bidets.
Cons:
The hot tub is short and old, but functions well and is clean. The upstairs bathroom can only be accessed via the 2 bedrooms. The house is a bit noisy with little soundproofing. Only 3 parking spaces available.
Overall it was a good stay and I would rent the house again. 👍

Great house with lots of space. Deck looking out onto the trees was beautiful. All worked as expected. No AC but the basement stays very cool and the semi shaded location keeps the house from getting too hot. Thanks Hugh!

This large home is well-designed to host a group with a large kitchen and living area apart from the bedrooms. It's well-located for accessing guerneville and surrounding sites but still in a quiet neighborhood. Overall would recommend!

The house is in great location and offers plenty of room for our group of 10. We had a great stay. The only complain is the towels -- they had a lot of stains on them. It was not just one towel, but almost all towels provided were greyish and dotted with brownish stains. I know they are clean, but they didn't look great. Other than that, it was a great place to spend the holidays with the family.

Hugh was a very communicative host. The house was well-stocked for all our needs and easily accommodated everyone in our group. Lovely location, too! Very close to Guerneville proper.

Loved this place for a work retreat. Ample space for eating and sleeping and doing group break outs. Close to necessities like the liquor store and grocer. Would stay again and would highly recommend
