I'm not sure if this is a newly built hotel or a newly remodeled hotel. It looks like a newly built property. For a mid-range hotel, this Country Inn & Suites is an excellent choice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our front desk clerk, Jeremy, is meritorious at his job. I appreciated his enthusiasm, his welcoming smile, and friendliness, He is knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to meet the guests' needs. The property is well-appointed and clean. I love the in-room microwave and fridge. My biggest complaint is the mattresses are too hard for my body. I woke up in pain in the night because of the mattress. I wish they would have invested a bit more in the mattresses themselves to add a higher level of comfort to the rooms. The free breakfast was nice. There were eggs, sausage, biscuits, and sausage gravy for the hot items. Along with a waffle-making station and hot oatmeal in an electric serving kettle with a toppings station. The oatmeal was so good, I went back for seconds. There were plenty of pastries, yogurt, and cereal too. Overall, my experience at this hotel was a great one. For under $150 for two queen beds for one night, it was a good deal. This property currently has a 9.6-star rating on Hotels.com. It was this rating along with the price that had me choose it. I typically stay in Marriott-branded properties, so I wasn't sure about this one. Now I know, I made a good Choice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Lawrence Kansas.

We stay at a Country Inn and Suites in other states and have not been disappointed with the rooms. Carpet was grossly dirty. I wore flip flops the whole time in my room. Toilet didn't work properly and this seems like a problem at this hotel. When we arrived for check-in a lady was asked for help because her toilet was plugged. We had to keep the lid off to help the floater fill the toilet or we couldn't use it. On a good note breakfast was pretty good!

Room was well stocked, shower could have been cleaned better, staff was amazing, breakfast was good and filling, and the bed…the bed was terrible. After a long day of traveling and more traveling ahead of us, we needed a good night’s sleep. That did not happen. As soon as I pulled the covers back and felt the mattress, I knew it was going to be a night of tossing and turning and aches and pains in the morning. Hotels should not go cheap on mattresses. Guest ratings are based on cleanliness, comfort, and friendliness.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a sports event at Ottawa. The front desk staff were all super friendly! A little pricey for an average hotel. Local wasn’t too far from restaurants and stores which was nice, but had a strange driveway. The breakfast was very basic. The room was ok. It was clean overall- the carpet did have stains. Beds were hard but it had a nice, deep bathtub. The internet connection was terrible!!! The hallways and elevator carpeting was pretty rough looking. I didn’t use the pool. I probably would look for something else in the area next time.

Hotel was really loud and not particularly clean. Staff were very nice.

Clean hotel with generous-sized rooms. Brrakfast was well-stocked. Bedding would benefit from a blanket or heavier-weighted coverlet.

Very comfortable bed and pillow, very clean. Standard breakfast, nice and quiet patio with fire pit going on every night. It was relaxing to sit outside with a cup of tea conveniently located only 5 minutes away from downtown. Overall, the hotel met my expectations! I will stay there again.

Great hotel on the east edge of town. We were the game weekend and the place was well cared and clean. A little tricky to get to from 23rd. It would be nice to have an EV charger(s) on site.
