Friendly staff and helpful. Huge room, nice decor, large comfy bed. You can go to the restaurant during the day and night but have to pop out (2min) walk for breakfast

Friendly staff - the girl who checked us in later on served us at the bar and gave us travel advice. Very nice.

Lovely property. Had a great, quiet night's rest. Staff were helpful and cheerful. I would use this again if I was staying in Co. Wicklow.

Hidden Gem, cosy little hotel. With great attention to detail. Great service. The room I stayed in was quite small so book a larger room for couples.

Just 1 night for a business trip but quick check in & out, clean and comfortable and just what I wanted.

The room pictured that we thought we were getting was nothing like the one we got. Ours was so small. We were very uncomfortable. No room for our luggage, not enough plugs, not enough counter space. Bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever encountered.

Excellent restaurant and even better pub! The general overseer, Marc, offered excellent customer service. One area needing improvement: housekeeping. There seemed to be a shortage of staff. In general the HnH was located in the center of everything we wanted to do in Wicklow Mts

Great pub food! They didn’t serve breakfast but the Bear Paw right next door had GREAT take away breakfast sandwiches and excellent coffee. Be warned…the sandwiches are huge! We didn’t need lunch.

Had a fabulous stay, the staff were very friendly & incredibly helpful, rooms were well looked after & tidy, views & walks around the hotel were beautiful. If I’d change anything it would be that it needs some sort of reception area as we had arrived early (9.30) & struggled to find someone at first to leave our bags before our rooms were ready but once we had found someone the were very helpful, it would be really great if they had a breakfast facility too. We would definitely stay here again. Loved it!

Took a bit of time to locate where to check in (in the bar,
in effect) but otherwise trouble free and pleasant stay. Although the property does not serve Breakfast there are nearby take-away (which we used and liked) and sit-down options

Though we spent most of the time outside the hotel, the nights were quiet for a rejuvenating sleep.

We booked just for a quick overnight stay . We were pleasantly surprised it was cosy, warm, clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was small but very clean with a coffee machine.
We left early the next day but decided that we will definitely return and stay in the area for a few days.

I didn't know the area, coming from California, and I wanted to stay in a quiet place outside of Dublin.
The cleaning staff was friendly. The restaurant tried too hard and the food really wasn't that good. We ate there one night.
I am surprised there were no accommodations for disabled people. My husband is disabled, and I knew there would be no services for him. I am glad he was able to walk the distance and stairs. He had to rest more than he usually does.

Excellent room above a pub in a nice Irish village. Although the pub gets loud (on a Friday night), the room is quiet with the windows closed. Take the DART from Dublin and take the local bus for 2.60 euros. We walked from the DART station with our luggage as it was a nice autumn day, but we did not count on the elevation [we should have as we were literally starting at sea level].

Enjoyable stay only for one night. Pillows need improvement and more of them. Also it would be nice for breakfast to be included in price and available in restaurant.

This is our second time staying here. This time, we booked the larger room which was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Bathroom was modern with large shower. No breakfast but we got breakfast next door at the Bear Paw and ate it outside at the tables. We would definitely stay here again.

I have wanted to stay at the Horse and Hound for ages. I just love that photo of the big white bed in the room with green walls. And that's the room we booked and it was just like the photo! Lovely and comfy. Mary called us as we toured around Powerscourt and then met us at the hotel with a key to let us in. Parking is behind the building. The kitchen was closed the night that we stayed, so we drove to the coast for some fish and chips by the harbor, very lovely evening. I'm glad the bar was closed since the outdoor dining area would probably have been rather loud. As it is, we slept like babies. I'm very happy with the Horse and Hound.
