Smart rooms and well heated. Comfortable bed. As wooden floors a little noisy at times. Best hotel breakfast i have had. Great food presentation and premium ingredients.

The service from the staff was first class. Super friendly and very welcoming. I can’t recall the chaos name at breakfast but he made the morning. I will definitely be back in the future. Oh and the granola bowl was epic.

Indifferent check in no communication from manager re arrival etc. Next morning after a good breakfast when we tried to leave we were locked into the property and could not get out - A non English speaking domestic had to let us out through the kitchen and we had to walk around the block with our luggage to our car!!!

We stayed for a wedding The hotel was outstanding in letting us check in early so we could get ready for the wedding day Room was spotless and very nice We arrived back late from the wedding and were able to enjoy a drink and some good company with the staff and owner The breakfast i must say was definitely one of if not the best i have had in any hotel Thanks so much Will recommend and hopefully return soon

A very warm welcome when you enter Becketts. We ate in restaurant before checking in our room and the food was of exemplary standard and wonderful flavours. Wonderful cocktails and they even make their own syprups for them! Check in very quick and easy and very safe as to get entrance to room is by keypad, so no lumbersome key! Room was beautifully designed and appointed especially the light under bed! Just feel the shower needs to be enclosed a bit more as water does spray everywhere!Bed very comfy and Large and huge tv. Highly recommend a stay here and support a local independent business. We will be back hopefully soon.

Booked this as surprise night away for my boyfriend to celebrate his 21st birthday! The hotel had a really friendly feel about it due to its boutique family run style making for a really guest focused experience! The room was cozy and beautifully decorated with everything we needed for our 1 night stay, with a comfy bed and great pillows making for an easy nights sleep! The location was perfect, in a quite area of Portsmouth but only a 10 mins walk to the centre. Breakfast was included in our stay and was delicious, the perfect hangover cue, I even asked for something off the menu due to being a fussy eater and it was kindly accommodated for by the manger who was very friendly and chatty, the food I received beat all my expectations and was delicious! This place is a hidden gem and felt great to be able to support a small business, we will definitely be returning soon! Thank you!

We liked everything. Room was clean. Bed extremely comfortable, blackout curtains a god send. Staff were very attentive and I personally loved the chilli and blood orange margarita from the bar Will definitely be staying here again.

Very comfortable and fantastic stay at Becketts. The room I had was small but absolutely fine for what I needed. Staff and service could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The restaurant and bar are lovely and I definitely recommend staying here :)

Excellent hotel - ideally located if you want to want to walk to visit various sites in Southsea. Rooms are lovely, bar very good, breakfast excellent, and staff absolutely superb. We found a parking meter around the corner and parked there using RinGo app - no problem whatsoever. Will definitely be staying there again as there's plenty of places to see in Southsea.

The room was spacious and the decor very appropriate. Loved the king-sized bed and wet room. Large tv screen. Good location - about 10 minutes from 2 train stations, the beach and main tourist attractions. Several good restaurants within 10 minutes of the hotel. Am hoping to have an excuse to return to Portsmouth so I can stay there again.

The restaurant and common areas of the building looked lovely. Bottle water provided in the rooms. The room temperature settings did absolutely nothing. We set a goal temperature of 21 degrees but it stayed at 32 degrees which made sleeping uncomfortable, especially as we had to have the fan on all night (which was in the wardrobe and we found by accident). It was disappointing and confusing that your booking email says that breakfast is included but also not on weekdays. There was a bag in the room for breakfast but it was an orange, muffin, orange juice and some seeds, I'd say that's more of an afternoon snack. The restaurant was open in the evening for dinner, so not too sure why planned hotel bookings couldn't be catered for, even a pastry and cereal would have been better than a mystery muffin that I couldn't eat because there's no ingredients listed. Oh and it was left in the room for check in, so it got nice and toasty overnight, another reason not to eat it or drink the juice. The shower leaked from the ceiling when you turned it on, so water partially came out of the shower head and partially the ceiling. The curtains did not reach the edges of the windows and single glazing windows means you can very clearly hear the outdoor drinking and music well into the night. TV remote was also hit and miss on whether it worked or not. Checkout is contactless, you just leave and make your way out. Which is perfectly fine, but makes it impossible to report problems.

Not happy at all. It said breakfast was included in the rate and we know this place does a banging brunch. For some reason they are not serving breakfast at the moment. Instead we got a brown paper bag with a clementine, apple, juice and a tiny banana muffin. My partner is gluten free and there was nothing to cater for this. The room is incredibly tiny and hot. Not fit for two people. Even with the window open we didn’t sleep a wink. Further the people from the restaurant could see up to our room, so no privacy unless the blind was shut. We never stay in hotels, so this was supposed to be a real treat. Especially breakfast. But all in all, I am terribly disappointed with this hotel.

Beautiful place! Staff are super friendly and the food in bar was amazing!Only thing I had a slight issue with and that’s the windows are thin. Staying on a weekend I’m assuming would be really noisey. Luckily I was there mid week and during the pandemic when places aren’t open properly yet. But other than thought was perfect.

Our room was like a captains cabin - timber walls, ceiling floor. Porthole mirror. Low ceiling added to the ambience. Very nice. Very small room and marbled wet room but all fine. Bed very comfy. Breakfast options rather limited - no self service for fruit , cereal , breads, etc- just menu service. But good quality and well presented breakfast. Staff very pleasant and helpful. A brief but enjoyable stay in an area close to the seafront and historic port area.
