An older property with 1950s touches. Rooms comfortable enough but the property pales in comparison to the modern hotels extant and being constructed. Advantage is price when considering alternatives. Staff is friendly and cooperative. Pool is small and often crowded. Beach is very accessible but lacks covered seating unless you use an adjacent hotel chairs. Calm sea cove for dipping in the gulf. Probably would spring for something a bit more upscale next time.

This property is in need of repairs, deep cleaning, and a building inspector! The location includes a private beach area which is fabulous and their small “backyard pool” area is also in much better condition than the “hotel” interior. The staff was friendly but that is the end of the positive aspects of this stay. Our room had a horrible musty swamp smell and I requested a change. I was given a different room to choose from, but the smell and condition of the new room was even worse. We opted to keep the first room, but did not unpack. We left the building and tried unsuccessfully to find availability for our two nights. We remained at this property and spent the maximum possible time outside, which had been our original intent anyway. The carpet was damp and turned my socks black after a few steps, sandals were then worn at all times. The bathroom basin had a 6x8 inch hole that was broken out and pieced together with adhesive (only aesthetically unappealing I guess). The dresser and cabinet doors had wet-rot and were avoided. The mini fridge gaskets had full-growth mold which was visible around the entire interior opening. The air conditioning did blow cold air which was a problem at night. The window unit was placed level with the the bed and about 12” away. I eventually placed the ironing board upright in front of the unit to redirect the blowing air away from my face. Sleep was not an option however, the outdoor nightclub next door played into the early hours.

We felt so welcomed when we got there right on bottom floor they let us check in early no issue best was small private beach on property and a pool and spa and .

We were a little nervous about the noise from the hotel next door, but the walls and windows were surprisingly soundproof. We were on the side of the hotel right next to the bar with music and it was loud on our balcony but we slept fine when the patio door was closed. We wouldn't stay here again, though. Yes, it was on the water but the beach was tiny. We ended up jokingly calling it the "What's That Smell Hotel." The "kitchen" was tiny and was missing important components, like spoons! After a day or so, I noticed some dirty black socks on the floor in the corner. I asked my boyfriend if they were his and they. were. not. Apparently they belonged to the prior guest. So, needless to say, cleaning was an issue. We ended up sneaking around the fence on the bench and having a yummy drink at the fun bar next door.

It’s outdated, overpriced and needs attention. We had a balcony, but the view was a parking garage that people can stand and look right in your room. (Even on the 5th floor).

Excellent location! Beachfront property. Nothing fancy but price was good!

Location was great, however our room faced the Shephards beach resort and the music down at the tiki was so loud til about 11pm. The ac unit in room was extremely loud so dimmed the noise of the band slightly. The ac also didn't cool very well. Overall for what we needed the room for, it was decent.

Nice clean convenient beautiful beach area awesome live music next door and across from Trolly Stop, stores and eateries.
