The location was excellent, the building was good. The lift worked reliably. The apartment is spacious and the furniture was fairly comfortable, although of basic / low quality.

The place superficially appeared clean but after we moved in we discovered that many things were rather dirty - see the photographs (pillows, dish-rack, fridge/freezer), showing dirt that had accumulated over a long time. The owner agreed to re-clean the flat. We were given one key - and we needed two (both my wife and I were staying). We were asked to pay extra for a second key but then finally - after a lot of discussion - were given a second key. There was no adequate bed clothes. There was no good cleaning facility / no dishwasher and we had to pay separately for the apartment to be cleaned. The crockery / plates were plastic, an incomplete set and not microwaveable. The Godrej cupboard is kept locked and unavailable for us to place any valuables. Despite asking for that cupboard be opened to us our request was ignored. The air-con broke down. The service engineer called in to repair it, and it was very dirty, with a thick layer of dirt. He explained to us that the owner had refused to have the air-con serviced with the filter changed etc as would normally be done. This explains why we were ill with unpleasant allergies / respiratory symptoms whilst there. The water filter is a most basic model and is very slow - it took about 10 minutes for a bottle's worth of water to filter through - see the photograph showing the bottle we placed underneath to catch the water. From our experience with the air-conditioning system we would imagine that the water filter also has not been serviced regularly in accordance with the recommended schedule - very concerning. The television was non-functional. Despite repeated reminders throughout our three week stay (which were read and acknowledged) the TV was not repaired. The swimming pool is still under construction and is non-functional. The advertisement is therefore misleading. We managed only due to the support of family i.e. lending us bedsheets, towels, crockery and plates.

Location was nice but it was kind of isolated space which is far from the railway station and main city for connectivity.

Host was not co-operative and after payment he started saying that bachelors are not allowed which was not mentioned on the site. Also, during our stay he did not allow us to use swimming pool by saying it is under maintainance which was clearly not as other society members were using it.

Looks like the host is interested in payment and doesn’t bother once you make payment.

Shaz was very supportive during the stay. The property is clean and well maintained, with all facilities and a lovely view.

Booked this stay in Mangalore via booking.com. This was also on Airbnb but was showing booked, we went to booking.com and it was available there. We checked with the owner and he asked us to pay and then he will confirm. After the payment was done he confirmed on the mail. Then he asked for id cards and we gave them govt id cards, then he started making excuses he said the id cards were not proper. He asked for Aadhar card and we gave him that. Then when we reached the place he said he won't allow bachelors. He never mentioned about this once before and neither was this mentioned on the listing. We didn't get the refund. Also the place which was shown in the picture was completely different from the place which we booked. Most probaby this guy has created a fake listing and scamming multiple people through the listing. Very disappointed from Booking.com as we didn't receive any help from them

Great communication throughout the process and quick response to any requests. Flat and fixtures in good condition. Well equipped with appliances. Nice host. Very polite.

Superb maintenance and spotless clean. Beds are comfortable and a good space to relax and have morning coffee. It's in Bejai so the location is quite ideal. Would definitely recommend a stay.
