Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was comfortable and the perfect location for being able to walk to all the stores, restaurants and bars. It could use some updating in the kitchen and bathrooms. The carpet should be replaced, but these issues wouldn't deter me from returning. The property manager was very responsive and helped make our stay very comfortable.

The unit is in a good location and the river front sitting area was a nice addition; however, the unit could use a thorough cleaning. There were spider webs, no screens on the windows and the common areas were dirty.

Half a block to the village, and also a short walk to the city parking lot, which is important if you have more than 1 vehicle in your party. $6 a day, free overnight. FYI, Riverview is a very skinny street; almost like an alleyway. In general, the unit is in decent shape; like other posters mentioned, it could definitely use a facelift. However, it was clean and comfortable, and suited our needs. Quite a few stairs, so be prepared with your luggage, golf clubs, etc. No water view from the unit (although the deck off the master is nice); outdoor BBQ and firepit space by the water is a nice perk, although you share with two other tenants. All in all, I would book again.

Ideal location on the river and a minute from the village. Great patio on river but old charcoal bbqs and beat up dirty picnic table. Place was clean enough but rundown beds, furniture, kitchen etc. price doubled with all the service charges so I expected higher quality.

This property has a great location just a few doors down from Capitola Village and has a nice outdoor area on Soquel Creek that it shares with two other units. The interior badly needs a redo. The carpets and the two sofas appeared dirty and stained and need replacement immediately. The carpet looked so funky no one wanted to remove their shoes. The VRBO photos of the interior as far as cleanliness and general condition are way out of date and what we found there was a major disappointment. We owned a vacation rental in Kauai and currently own a long term rental duplex in Capitola so we know what a well maintained rental property should be and should look like. This unit is not it. Additionally prospective renters should know that the unit itself is NOT on Soquel Creek and does not have a view of it. The condo is oriented to the street and not the creek itself. Why not put some of the rental income back into the property so your guests don't go away feeling disappointed and unhappy??

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was wonderful as we were literally two minutes walk from Capitola Village and all that it offers. The patio area on Soquel Creek was also a plus (for Units A and B) as it allowed us to grill when we chose to and to just sit by the creek and chill. We did submit a list of suggestions to Bailey Rental Properties management and one of those was to put a self-standing water purifier in the refrigerator. Depending on the length of stay, (we were there for 10 days) they could provide more paper goods. The unit would also benefit from a "deep" cleaning where cobwebs are removed, carpets are steam cleaned, and so on. There could have been more small amenities like a wider array of spices, some instant oatmeal packages...things we have enjoyed at other rentals. In short, the cupboards were bare so you should go prepared to purchase every little thing you might need especially if it is for an extended stay. However, Lisa and Lynette (the Bailey Property managers) were very responsive to any concerns we raised during our stay such as a lock falling off a slider door (the door still locked) or the electricity going out in the laundry room. The parking for Unit A is very narrow between a post and the wall so make sure you have a car that will fit in the tiny space. Those who visited us feared they would tear off their side mirrors when pulling in or out of the space. If Baily Properties implement some of the changes we communicated in an earlier email, we would have no hesitation in renting this unit again and consider it a fair price. For eating, I would recommend the Left Coast Sausage Works for a delicious quick pick up meal, Mijos for street tacos, the Daily Grind for excellent coffee, and the Sand Bar for great nachos. Lovely walks all over Capitola...the beach, the neighborhood on the cliffs, anywhere. Overall, a pleasant stay.
