Sugarview cottage was exactly what we were looking for - beautiful views (amazing sunrise, dark sky full of stars, lush greens and blue water) and so quiet and peaceful! The cottage itself was comfortable, clean, and stocked with needed supplies plus! This was our 2nd time in USVI and truly enjoyed staying here in Coral Bay.

Clean, cute and comfortable cottage! We loved sitting in the deck in the late afternoon with cocktails while looking out at peaceful Hurricane Hole after a day spent snorkeling at the beaches in Coral Bay or the North Shore. The kitchen was well stocked so we made dinner 5 of 7 nights with grilled fresh fish and fresh veggies from the Calabash Market. We enjoyed nightly stargazing on the deck and even a visit from a herd of donkeys it was a perfect retreat for a couple.

Great property. It is as described. Location is great if you like quiet seclusion. There is very little light pollution, so the night sky is spectacular. I’ve never seen so many bright stars. There is no noise either. So quiet and peaceful. The sunrises were spectacular. We visited Coral Bay restaurants and we drove across to Cruz Bay too. Nothing is too far away. This is a good location to explore the entire island.

Wonderful property, impeccably maintained. Fantastic view, very dark at night, no light pollution, wonderful for viewing stars. Property manager Drew excellent with communication. We will be staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The views are amazing and great to wake up to every morning. The house is nicely equipped with all that you need for a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet stay close to Coral Bay.

Absolutely breathtaking. Very well stocked and equipped with everything you need ro prepare a meal. Felt very welcome form the moment we opened the door. Highly recommended this property ti others. Thanks to Drew for leading us up the hill

House is in perfect condition and almost everything is new. Balcony was private and quiet. No one was staying at nearby house on property. The view from the balcony was mostly ocean and National Forest. Truly beautiful. Easy to access from Coral Bay in jeep. Grocery stores nearby. We would happily return.

This property was the perfect spot for the two of us to enjoy the peace and quiet of Coral Bay. The cottage was stocked with every amenity without feeling cluttered. Snorkeling masks and fins were even provided! The large shower was so nice after a long day of sand and sun. And the VIEW! Breathtaking every single day. The grounds around the property were beautiful as well; local flowers and plants filled the walkways and felt like paradise every time we stepped out of the door. Cannot recommend this property enough. Joice met us in town so we could follow her up the hill. She was a wealth of knowledge and so bubbly. We loved having that greeting. 12/10.

This place was truly amazing. Everything about the property and hosts were top notch. They thought of every detail to make sure you had a comfortable stay. The couple items we forgot, they had! The setting is beautiful, the pictures on the listing do the view no justice. It is in a perfect location, a bit up the road from Coral Bay, but just a few minutes from everything. Comfortable beds, laundry, fully stocked kitchen, modern updates. It couldn’t have been any better. If you’re thinking about it… just do it… you won’t regret it.

Perfect location to coral bay. Beautiful views fully stocked kitchen and having beach supplies was perfect for our day at trunk bay and Maho. Audrianna the property manager was super helpful, friendly and welcoming.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Estate Emmaus, it was just too short. On previous trips to St. John we had stayed closer to Cruz Bay, but loved being on the less developed East end. It was very quiet and peaceful in the evenings and the beaches seemed less crowded. Even though our favorite Coral Bay restaurant, Shipwreck Landing was gone - an apparent victim of the hurricanes, there were other great options like Johnny Lime and Miss Lucy's was still in business.
The house itself was great for two people. The second bedroom was fairly small, would be good for kids. The kitchen was well supplied and even had sharp knives, never used the one I always bring with me. Loved that it was equipped with a reverse osmosis water filter. It tasted great and no need for buying bottled water. Beach chairs and snorkeling gear were also appreciated. We rented paddleboards for the week and were able to explore the bays just below the house. Found a few small beaches and awesome snorkeling. Hope to return for a longer stay in the near future.

Sugar View Cottage was everything we hoped for and more!
Our host gave us wonderful instructions on how to find the cottage and when we arrived, we were blown away by the spaciousness, the cleanliness and the VIEW!!! The kitchen was stocked with anything you might need to make a meal - minus the food. The bathroom was perfect too. Each room was comfortable and in the closets we found beach chairs and snorkling gear.
One evening, after arriving home, the automatic front door lock got caught in a cycle of unlocking and locking again...so we contacted the caretaker who came over immediately to fix the lock. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
I don't travel a ton, and I'm always nervous that I'm not going to get what I'm promised, but Sugar View was indeed perfect in every way. It helped make this vacation the BEST vacation my sons and I have ever taken. (we all agreed!)

A cozy home perfect for my family of 4. The place was clean and seems to be renovated recently. The kitchen was well stocked and the air fryer is a life saver for all sorts of cooking needs. It has games, beach chairs and snorkeling gears. You may need to bring your own cooler if you need one (wasn’t able to find it in the house). The house is on the quieter side of the island (much less commercial than the Cruz bay area) with great view from the deck. You do need to share the parking area with the house right next to it. Have been to St. john many times and this is one of the best house we have ever lived in though there are some drive needed to get to the north side of the beach and the cruz bay commercial area.

There are two main structures and we stayed in one that's connected to the patio where there is an amazing view of the bay. We had a rental car so transportation was not an issue. There are a few restaurants and a full grocery store/market within 5 minute drive from the property. We were able to cook some of our meals as well. The kitchen has everything including a blender and two coffee makers (one Keurig with pods provided). There was no reception in the area but the wifi worked pretty well. Pain free check-in. If you want something less touristy, this is an awesome choice.

This is a great property. The location is rural, but that's why you went on vacation in the first place; to get away from it all. Had a few issues with the WiFi and gas stove, but the owner was responsive and addressed the issues. This should be corrected going forward.
The house is very clean and the owner just updated the interior. Everything was new. I liked the pantry have some items for cooking, I also left a few items I did not use. I would recommend this property.
