Central location made it easy to go on excursions in any direction! Great little bakery, half a block away, had home made malasadas on certain days of the week! The #9 Studio was very clean, lots of linens and basic necessities! The VIEW was unbelievable, right on the ocean! The little beach was perfect; sandy enough to sit and relax and then cool off in tide pool! We saw fishermen, surfers and even whales! I love this condo! I want to come back. Even when raining it’s a lovely place to be. The balcony is so wonderful and the proximity to the ocean and sound of waves can’t be beat! Very well-equipped kitchen. Beach towels and chair too. The tv was difficult to figure out and instructions would be helpful as would a listing of channels. It’s quiet-except for the wind and ocean! I’ve stayed in this condo numerous times. It’s the only place I’ll stay. Oceanfront so I can listen to the waves all night and it’s incredibly peaceful. Not a ton of tourists running around. Perfect little beach out front that you can snorkel when currents are calm...turtles hang out here. Condo provides beach chairs, cooler, snorkel gear, etc. It’ll makes for the best Kauai vacation. Location is great. Guests can easily walk to shops and beach. I appreciated that the unit is in a smallish complex and felt private. Unit quite comfortable, clean and appropriately furnished. There were no beach towels when we arrived, but they were delivered promptly. If I return to Kauai I would likely try to stay here again. Love Kapaa Sands! Great location to go to either end of the island, great restaurants nearby, Passion Bakery is a must fir sticky buns or malasadas. Unit is light and airy, nicely decorated, bed is comfy, kitchen is lovely. Bath is tiny but totally functional. Perfect for a couple. We love it, it’s our 3rd time to this unit. The Studio Ocenfront 9 is more then pictures and text can say - it is simply perfect and beautiful! I enjoyed my time so much - especially to sit on the balcony and look out direct to the pacific and hear the waves - it was breathtaking - I hope to comeback soon! We have been coming to Kapaa Sands for the last 20 years, so it’s a second home to us. In the Unit 9, it was our 6th stay, and it’s always a wonderful vacation.We enjoy the ocean views, the pool, the tropical grounds and the quiet. We loved our stay at Kapaa Sands 9 and would highly recommend the unit for a couple or solo traveler visiting Kauai. The apartment overlooks a beautiful, quiet beach that is great for swimming, lounging and surfing. Snorkeling is possible on the left side of the beach (in front of a neighboring resort) but there isn`t much to see. The beach is child friendly with rocks providing a break and creating a shallow wading pool directly in front of the unit. We also loved having Passion Bakery (try the malasadas!) and Scotty`s surf shop within a block of the place. The unit itself is a small studio but has everything you could need. There is no air conditioning but the fans and ocean breeze were enough to keep us cool. There are beach chairs, two towels, fins, umbrella, cooler, and clothes line provided and coin operated laundry on site. We loved our stay and will be back! This unit is upstairs and the lani is ocean front with views to die for. My stay was enjoyable and I have stayed in this unit before but with Vacasa new as the property manager… I did have a few problems .. the code to get in the room that was given to me was incorrect and it took about a half hour to sort out but it was sorted out…. Then I had a downstairs person who was loud and disruptive at all hours of the night … it was not vacasa’s fault … rather it was the rude lady plus she was smoking … smoking is not permitted on the property … I emailed the general manager with my complaint the first day and she emailed back saying she would speak to them… either she did not speak to them or they didn’t listen so the 2nd day I called with my complaint and was assured they would send someone in person to take care of it … it seemed to work because that afternoon she was no longer smoking on her lani and the loudness pretty much stopped … it is something to think about when renting someone is not there 24/7 to handle issues like in a hotel and I was traveling alone so I was not comfortable saying something to her and I had to wait a little bit for results … this was a bad apple and I am sure I was just unlucky that is why I still gave a 5 star review because the room is great the location and view amazing and I had the pool all to myself as well … the new management is also easy to work with they just took over the Friday before I arrived so they were on it and up and ready to handle business for my Monday arival

The place is beautiful. King bed is comfy & so pretty! The view is spectacular! I love the sweet doves that visit. A couple of things: no brown towels as listed to clean shoes and the outside stairs are gross. Overall a gorgeous setting with very friendly staff and lovely accommodations. Great location and views. Comfortable room for short stays. Convenient for getting around the island (by car) and decent grocery store within 3 minutes walk. Facilities in the room are basic, so be sure to bring any little luxuries from home. But overall, really enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future.

The unit was good and clean and the views from the terrace are excellent. The condo is also really nice. The only thing that i can say is that the apartment and furniture are a bit old. But in general i recommend it and would stay here if i come back.

Our unit was as small as a hotel room, but it was clean, beautifully decorated, quiet, and had everything we needed! The view is of the pool, lush grounds, and the glorious ocean beyond. Our host Val was easily accessible and helpful! Absolutely would stay there again for short stays! 😊

The room was exactly as pictured. It was clean, had a view of the Ocean, and it was in a convenient location. My one suggestion is for them to stock up the bathroom with more toilet paper ahead of time especially since the property manager doesn't live nearby.

This location has a beautiful view and is right next to coconut market which has good restaurants and shopping! Would recommend staying here! We did notice a little bit of a musty smell in the room but this resolved with opening the patio door and changing the setting on the AC.

My wife and I spend very little time in rooms when we travel. So we don’t look for much more that a cheaper room that’s clean an comfortable. This reached those expectations plus. It is not spacious but very adequate.

We loved staying here and would do it again! The view is spectacular, the facilities are amazing! I can’t recommend it wnough!

We truly enjoyed our stay here and it overshot my expectations. The room is clean, beautiful sunlight, and great view of the ocean. No full kitchen, but there is a mini fridge, toaster, and coffee maker. The beach towels and beach chairs were very nice to have. FYI, this room is on the third floor with no elevator access. The property ground is green and luscious and enjoyable for morning stroll. Great beach access as well. Beach is more for hanging out, not much of snorkeling. However, this beach is a special place for us because we got engaged on this beach during our stay! There is a cute poolside bar with happy hour from 6-8 PM. Overall very nice vibe. Save your money on those expensive resorts and stay here instead!

There are grocery stores, shops and restaurants across the street and several great restaurants within walking distance. If a person didn’t want to have a rental car, this is a perfect location. We will be coming back next year. The deck overlooked the ocean and pool area. We will rent 309 again. Dawn with Hula Now was great to work with. We had a little tv trouble and Dawns team got things taken care of in a timely matter. There’s a walking pathway in front of the property. The grounds are expertly taken care of. Employees are friendly. There are lots of activities in the area if a person wanted to sightsee. We had a beautiful captain Andy’s five hour dinner cruise along the Napoli coast line. We will definitely go back again. There is so much to do, but this vacation was a relaxing one for us. Coffee on the deck, lots of reading and relaxing by the pool. The room was ok, but could use some updating. There is no elevator on the property in case someone has health issues. My 92year old mom was with us and she did well with the three flights up. We will be back!

Short walk to Coconut .qrketplace for groceries, restaurants, shops and free hula show on Wed & Fri.The grounds are lush and beautiful. Pool/hot tub area was clean and tiki bar was a plus.Our room was clean upon arrival. The kitchen could use a griddle Anda cart fir the microwave because there is no ace to put dishes to dry. Towels were provided but for a 2 week stay we could have used more. Pool towels were a plus. Management was very responsive to my phone call. We would stay here again.
