The apartment is not bad: two bedrooms, one bathroom, one living room with kitchen. But there is nothing to clean the place (we were there 6 nights and it was impossible to clean the bathroom or the kitchen due to lack of cleaning products). In addition, the kitchen was completely lacking: we had to buy oil and salt to be able to cook. There was only coffee, tea and sugar. There was also a lack of detergent capsules for the dishwasher and those for the washing machine. So why equip the apartment with appliances if you can't use them?

The apartment has a terrible location: it is next to the railroad tracks and near a restaurant that plays deafeningly loud music late into the night. To sleep you have to put earplugs in your ears and take a sleeping pill, otherwise you can't fall asleep. The walls shake from the loud music and even the bed vibrates. There is also a nightclub that plays live music on weekends. Disaster. I will preface this by saying that we were in Chicago on business and so the stay was disastrous. When we reported this to the owner we were told that everything was in order and that the club is allowed to have music that loud. But I doubt that it is. Also we were told that it was written that it was next to a restaurant.....but not such a loud restaurant!!!! In addition, there was a smell of marijuana throughout the building since the neighborhood uses it heavily! In short, an experience to forget.

If you're going for a show at Reggie's right next door then there's no better place to stay! As long as you know what you're getting into with staying literally right next to a venue and bar then you'll be alright. Otherwise, the amenities were great and the beds were comfortable. The place is within walking distance of Chinatown and an El station which is fantastic too!

If you're counting on using the pull-out couch as a bed make sure to bring your own blankets and sheets, and if you can maybe something to put over all the edges in between the cushions. It does the job space-wise but could not be considered comfortable. Just be prepared that's all. Also, we were unable to find the Wi-Fi and booking.com does no favors in making it easy to contact the folks in charge of the place when they ask you to message them through the website.
