Great place and location walking distance to downtown shopping!

Went for a quick get-away and it was perfect. Early in the week, and we had the place to ourselves. Had a little fire in the firepit that evening and watched the sun go down. Walking proximity to main spots in the historic downtown area. Great place to chill in Comfort.

Absolutely loved our stay at Meyer Hotel! Very relaxing and loved the screened in porch! We loved our time in Comfort, TX as well!

The keys were left in to room so no real checkin. The remote control did not work for the small TV, window blinds are in bad shape, AC was extremely loud all night long likely because it was an upstairs room. It was a decent room but not as expected. I’ve always been able to count on Hotels.com reviews but this one didn’t match up to what I expected. I’ve been disappointed with Hotels.com since the merger. Will likely seek other options for future trips.

Beautiful stay at Meyer Hotel. The property is in the downtown area within walking distance to art shows, antiques and restaurants.

We love this small gem. Have been coming for years. The level of cleanliness has been a bit disappointing lately but hope this review is feedback received and that things turn around. The carpets were very dingy and the shower curtain and shower had pink slime. The towels were dingy too. But we will be back because this place has so much potential!

The printed material had the wrong address, so Siri was confused on getting there easily, but we finally got there. Very nice place, encouraged to just hang out. Wish we would have had time to enjoy the beautiful swimming pool!

Lovely setting in a charming town

The rooms are part of the stagecoach station from the 1860s. Everything has been updated but still has charm and character. Very comfortable with beautiful antiques in the rooms. I will definitely come back here!

This was our first visit to the Meyer but it will not be the last! Hopefully, when we are able to visit again, the Hill Country will have had rain because it would be so much more peaceful on the property if the creek had been running. I loved the appointments of our room; they certainly fit the history of the property. We could walk a short distance to shopping and eating establishments. The pool area was very nice, not your cookie-cutter swimming pool. The hotel supplied extra large pool towels which covered the lounge furniture after a refreshing swim. There were rocking chairs on the front porch to enjoy coffee in the mornings, and other facilities had enclosed porches on the back where you could watch the deer coming up in the evenings. This was a lovely visit and I look forward to returning!

Nice property at a great location in the middle of town. Lots of shopping and restaurants. It’s also on the river and has a small but nice pool!

Loved that Thai property is a historic landmark. It’s very charming and cozy.

Things I liked: The property was very quaint and had a very nice view of the local fauna. It was very calm, quiet, and relaxing. The binder for activities and local gems was helpful. We loved the mesh in the patio/balcony area as a safety feature. We appreciated the books. Things I didn’t like: I was given a much smaller room compared to the one depicted on Expedia and the website does not advise that there are multiple premier rooms. The hotel is nice, but is stuck in time. I wish it could’ve had a more modern theme. (Example, the tub could be replaced by a standard shower). The window in the bathroom was painted shut, the furniture was old and broken. The shower was rusty and had soap scum. There was a big dip in the mattress on one side. It seemed that the springbox was broken or too old. Door knobs to the restroom were loose and unable to properly shut. The coffee maker was placed in the bathroom, (unsanitary). There was dust on pretty much everything in the room. The air conditioner was too small for the room. I noticed there was no ice bucket in the room nor ice machine anywhere on the property. I would suggest there to be one. The 2 television sets only had a handful of channels and the resolution was very poor on both. The office always seemed to have a “We’ll be back in 15 minutes” sign posted. Towels were very scratchy and irritated my skin; could use fabric softener. I noticed that a throw pillow from the living area gave me a small rash on my hand.

Office is not open when arrived at 920 pm. No explanation as to how to check in so called number and was given our room number. Sink clogged in main room and tub clogged both backing up with water. Maintenance came in the morning to resolve however is a great indicator that neither were ever cleaned. Tv was not working in main room due to broken RG-6 connector was which means this also was never noticed by management or house keeping.

What a lovely spot! A beautifully appointed collection of individual rooms, very comfortably furnished. Good communication and easy instructions for arrival as well as departure. Will definitely visit again!

The Meyer Inn was such a great place to stay. Had a trip with friends and booked 2 rooms. The rooms were clean and there was lots of space. Everything from the grounds to the room looks fabulous. The Cypress trees are beautiful.I highly recommend this place. Enjoyed the pool area. The shopping in Comfort is very close to this hotel.

Always awesome staying here

The Meyer Inn was probably the most Comfortable Inn / Hotel stay I have ever had. There was lots and lots of room and the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced. I give this Inn my Highest Recommendation!
