Being a Baptist Pastor, I believe honesty is the best policy. I grew up in this neighborhod so I know it extremely well. I've stayed in this dwelling twice before. If it was me, I would paint the whole inside of the residence. The bedrooms have 1 bed each and small night stands. That is all of the furnishings in the bedrooms. Most people are use to having a dresser and a chest of drawers to store their clothes. You can buy used furniture for little to nothing. Had to drag kitchen chairs into bedroom to have some place to put your suitcase to work out of. The shower control handle was stripped and would not adjust the water temp. It was so hot that you could not take a shower. Being the upstairs unit we had a set of steps to go up. The lights in the stairwell were burned out so it made it extremely difficult and dangerous to come in or out at night. On the backside of the banister was a sharp nail or something that your hand would hit everytime you went up the steps. That needs to be eliminated. Went out on the back screened in porch, no furniture out there, not even a couple plastic chairs and the door coming back in was nasty from hand soil. Bad. A little paint would eliminate that or a little comet. The location was super. I knew it was. only about 2 blocks to downtown. So much potential in this place but seems to be a lack of concern from management about keeping it in good shape. Super nice appliances in the kitchen. I would give it a 5 rating. We didn't cook.

This older home is well maintained and very clean. We had the upstairs unit with plenty of room for my group of six. This home is very convenient to everything and with in walking distance to Main Street. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Nicely updated older home. We enjoyed the turntable and records. The front porch is the highlight. Manager was easy to get in touch with and responded very quickly. Loved it!

Quiet neighborhood, very clean, and comfortable bed. Stayed on the upper floor which was probably the best so there was no one walking around above me. No microwave, which wasn't a big deal. Just found it unusal.

Wonderful but no microwave or pots or pans so although there is a kitchen, preparing or warming up food is not possible.

We had a wonderful time! Very clean home away from home! Short walk to shopping, restaurants and museums!

We loved the location so close to everything and the deep shade in the front yard. Everything was super clean. But we didn't realize that the house was split into two units. We were on the top floor and our "neighbors" were very friendly. No microwave was a disappointment. Get that and we would surely stay here again..

Perfect all around, we look forward to many stays here.

Spacious and nicely decorated! Close to Blackmon Amphitheater and downtown Mt Airy. I would definitely stay here again.

This was everything it says it is and more! We didn’t plan on spending too much time indoors because we had a family reunion. We had lot of things to do and people to see! When we were there, the house was so comfortable with all the feels of a country cottage. Only two small hiccups were no microwave and no staircase light. They weren’t really that big of a deal. Just in the sake of full disclosure. I told her about them and both were noted and going to be installed and/or fixed. It had all new appliances, adorable furniture sjd super cute decor. We would definitely stay again! It’s super close to downtown which is the hub of the town!

Everything was great. Comfortable, convenient, quiet, simple. All good. We only have one very small nit, which actually didn't affect our stay, but kinda irked a little when we first arrived: unlike the text of the listing which clearly states that you will have the entire house to yourself, there are actually two units in the house. You are staying in the upper unit. Not a big deal (don't let this keep you from staying here,) but why is the host lying about that?

Beautiful home just off the main street. Walking distance to downtown, Andy Griffith museum, and other attractions. We had the upstairs area and had lots of room. Quiet neighborhood and parking was in front of the home. Highly recommend!

We stayed at this beautiful old home last year and loved it and had the opportunity to return this year for a few days. House is located just a block of Main Street and an easy walk to all the shops and/ or the Jail and Wally’s Filling Station. Very peaceful and serene neighborhood. Like going back in time to the sixties. It has a long front porch with seating but my wife and I both missed the now gone two white wooden rocking chairs (and the missing neighborhood cat). Last time we stayed on the first floor. This time around we were put on the second floor. This was more inconvenient for two near seventy year olds having to haul our luggage up a long flight of stairs. The ceiling light on the inside first floor entrance was inoperable so it was dark entering in the evening. Upstairs rooms layout were the same as downstairs with ample room. Fully equipped kitchen ( except no microwave). Bathroom sink stopper was stuck closed but new owner took care of fixing that right away. Only one TV located in the Living Room. No TV in either bedroom ( first floor had them). ROKU service was awful. It kept cutting out and no local channels were available. I would still recommend this place to stay and we’ll be back.

We stayed at this property on our way to a family vacation. The neighborhood was quiet.

We were not able to make this trip at all due to unfortunate events, but the host of this property was SO accommodating and kind and did not charge us for the additional date we requested - which we requested before the incident occurred. We appreciate that kindness and wanted to make sure our rating reflected that fully. And we hope to visit in the future!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was very clean, attractive, and convenient, and we would stay there again. The only hiccup occurred when we arrived and discovered that we only had access to the upstairs (the downstairs was rented to other guests), even though the Vrbo website states, "You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party." Since only my wife and I were staying, it worked out okay, but the description on the website needs to be clarified.

We stayed overnight plenty of room for our crew. Older home with charm. The stairs were a little hard to navigate luggage but overall nice place to stay. Had a great location close to downtown.

We enjoyed our stay. There was nowhere for us to park because the other renters took up all the spaces. Beds were very nice! Bathtub was extremely slick but overall it was a wonderful trip! Thank you!

Beautiful old home in the heart of Mt Airy - Mayberry. Exceptionally clean and the location was perfect to walk to all things Mayberry! Wonderful place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay! Fieldyn was very helpful with last minute reservations. We hope to be back.

May want to consider having some soap for dishwasher and shower… but overall very nice and perfect location.

What a great little place to escape for a few days! It was a great location and such a quaint place. Plus, there was a washer and dryer I wasn’t expecting! The owners were a great help with any question I had and check-in was incredibly easy! Loved it!
