when we arrive Friday night the water service was out called Les and he told us some trouble shooting but didn't work. we have no water for the whole night. He offers us to leave the property the next day and he will charge us only for the linen. We told him this is a planned trip we don't want to leave. we try to go to the hotel but there is no nearby hotel. After a long back and forth text and phone call from Les h finally told us we can move another property for the next day. He told us it will be ready 1:00 pm. but the property wasn't ready until 6:00pm . We were a group of 10 it was difficult to move again we have spent most of our vacation time dealing with Les. He told us after we have gone through this, he will refund us our money until this day he didn't gave us any refund. Les is acting a nice person when you talk to him the phone, but he is not nice at all. He told me we will get the refund Tuesday, but we didn't. He is not answering my phone or my text.

This was our first time to Lake Gaston. The house was absolutely perfect for our family. The property owners provided everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. (Kayaks, life jackets, floats, life jackets, lawn games, etc, etc) Additionally, the property manager (Les) was very responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend you consider this vacation home, if your considering Lake Gaston for your next vacation.

House was convenient to the main lake but just inside a creek so it was pretty quiet. Had a great week!

Loved every minute of this relaxing place. The teenager even hung out with his baby brother on the dock, the screened in porch and at the air hockey table. The best time was had by everyone. Can’t wait to go back.

Our entire family had a great time at Hakuna Matada. The extra 2 bedrooms were a wonderful addition to help space everyone out.

We had a wonderful time with our extended family at Lake Gaston. The property was just what we needed- esp with the addition over the garage.
We enjoyed the canoe, dock, fire pit and the lovely screened porch. Thank you for providing all the kitchen essentials and more! We also enjoyed lots of ping pong in the garage. We would definitely recommend this property to other families.

We had an idyllic time at this property. The sweetest little cove, quiet and private, just a short ways from the house to the water. Great fishing, fire pit for s’mores, canoe — thank you! Owner is super easy to reach and most responsive to needs— really appreciated his expedited attention! This was a wonderful getaway for our family.

We loved the screened porch and the whole house was very comfortable and well-appointed. The canoe and the zip line were a big hit with the kids and the fire ring was a nice plus for making s'mores.
