Spacious and well furnished property overlooking the mountains. Beds were cosy and included heated blankets which kept us very warm during our winter stay. Close walk to Valley of the Waters Lookout which connects to a great hiking trail towards Wentworth Falls. Fireplace and telescope were great additions to the enjoyment of the property. Firewood was also provided despite us being told to bring our own.

The staircase has not been updated to match modern safety standards. I had to constantly protect my child from approaching the staircase as the gap between the balusters which support the banister/handrail were spaced so far apart that a two year old could easily run between them without even bumping either side of the balusters. I would have also liked to have seen a firescreen/child guard placed around the fireplace to protect children from accidental burns. The BBQ did not have any gas in the cylinder upon check-in and the crisper drawer in the fridge was difficult to access due to an odd shelving configuration. Showers don’t appear to be renovated which creates a disconnect with the rest of the home. Property manager wanted to know too much about our stay prior to check-in, which felt a little invasive i.e. What are all the guest names and ages?; What is the purpose of your stay?; Where are you traveling from?; How do you know the people you are traveling with?
