Excellent value and friendly service. The rooms are in fair condition and the hotel is slightly tired but cannot fault it for value. Most importantly clean and friendly.

Overall good stay , a little out of town centre but only a 10 mins walk. Bar prices a little high. Didnt dine so can't comment.

Frequently stay here. Convenient to get to local shops/town, walking or by frequent bus services. We have also been able to extend our stay on more than one occasion, keeping the same room. Our assistance dog loves it here, even more so when he is welcomed with treats and a blanket in the room! Lots of space in the double rooms. Good value for money especially if you book via the app!

I’m not usually to one to be fussy however I had 2 room booked here and quite frankly the overall cleanliness of the room was appalling. I found cobwebs in my room there were stains on my bedding and the cold tap on the shower wouldn’t work I was unable to take a shower as the hot tap was scoldingly hot, nether could I sleep with stains in my bedding’s. I will never stay at this hotel again.

this is our 3rd visit to this hotel. allways enjoyed our stays here. its convienient for the town, staff are all very welcoming.

My only complaint is the limited menu which I understand it was in place because of the holiday period, but there wasn’t any sandwiches. Not wanting a hot meal as we were going out for dinner , and I had a long journey to get here.
Karen one of the Reception staff was very apologetic and did try to get the kitchen staff to do me a sandwich, however all she could persuade them to do was a bowl of chips! There was also another couple that wanted just a sandwich snack.

My stay was good and the bed was very comfortable.
The property is dated, however the cleanliness and friendly staff made up for that.

The hotel is perfectly satisfactory. Big, well equipped rooms. The staff were very friendly. Two points reported: There was a pump running non stop during our stay, which disturbed the night, and there was no hot water the following morning. But we received a complimentary breakfast in lieu when we reported this to reception in the morning, which was fine.

Overnight stop on a longer journey. Staff were good. Building looked tired but room was very clean and large. Shower was terrible. Did not eat here.

The property needs updating as it is looking sad.
All carpets and furniture need replacing.
The staff are great , friendly and helpful.
The menu is small but the food is good and well presented and very reasonable priced. The buffet breakfast is excellent value. If you don't have much money to spend this is ideal.

The view from the bedroom and location to town were great.The staff were a motley lot and could have had a stronger customer service. The grounds were filthy, rubbish bins not emptied for days. No toilet roll holders in the main Ladies toilets downstairs. One lovely young waitress called Carmen she should have been running the place

This is a tired hotel, that looks like it hasn't been updated since the dying days of the 1980's. The decor is very 'motel', with so many repairs required, but minimum effort applied. Whoever had hung the shower curtain had put in the minimum effort - the rings were so out of sequence that it hardly moved until I redid it myself. The net curtains in my room had massive tears in them. The bar/restaurant toilets looked like they hadn't been serviced in a week. One of the main windows on approach had blown the seals probably about five years before. Overpriced for what it is, and what it is is underloved.

This Hotel has no elevator. Needs an elevator badly. As a 77 year old carrying a suitcase up one flight of stairs was difficult and dangerous. The same goes for the shower. It's a high bathtub with all the dangers that go with it. Would not recommend this hotel for anyone over 50.

Although (as other review have stated) the decor is pretty dated in places the staff were speedy, friendly and always super helpful. The food was good value and the bar prices not too high either.
There was a function on the Friday night meaning the restaurant was closed but there was no noticeable noise or other issues from the function.
The hotel is easy to get to and just a short walk from the town and almost next door to a large Tesco store which is useful. We had no issues with parking, even during the busy function.
We would visit again.

Perfect cheap overnight stay not far from M5. Staff friendly, room clean and a bar for a drink before bed. V good value for money

The bathroom stunk on damp and uncleanliness. Terrible night sleep as the thin walls didn’t do anything to stop the noise from the barking dog & crying child next room to ours. Would not go back.
