The cottage was cute with a beach vibe decor and very peaceful and serene, the perfect place to rest and recuperate after travelling internationally for a month. The deck is great at night with the fairy lights on.
The lady managing the property was lovely. As I was not driving she took me on a local tour of the area to show me Zuma beach and the hiking trails.
It is easy to misinterpret the context of the property if you are an international traveller unfamiliar with Malibu. To clarify: -
the cottage is not on or walking distance from the beach, but is a relatively short drive from two beaches, Zuma and Paradise Point.
The cottage is walkable distance to the shops - if you take the short cut across the paddocks -and dodge some serious traffic while walking on the road verge.
In short, doable on foot with buses, but best enjoyed if you are travelling with a car.

The location was very convenient to everything that I wanted to do… Hiking, the beach, and time in nature.
I have to admit, for the cost per night, there were some basic maintenance issues that I had, and some disturbances with workers and staff from the main house that should not have happened.
