Brand new holiday home designed by architect Tim Dorrington, this holiday home offers all the mod-cons of a modern bach but is in a peaceful rural setting. It is nestled into native bush with mature kauri and totara on one side of the property and on the other panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, Mangawhai Harbour, the Hen and Chicken Islands and the sparkling Pacific Ocean.
Enjoy the open plan living with fireplace for winter or bi-fold doors which open up to an outside lounge and covered deck area with flat lawn for the kids to play on.
Despite the rural location, the property is ideally located to reach all the local beaches (check out Te Arai in the height of summer when Mangawhai beach is chocka!) as it is only 12 minutes drive. The shops and cafes at Mangawhai Village are only 5 minutes down the road by car and Mangawhai Heads shops just a few minutes further up the road. Waipu, Waipu Cove and Langs are only 15 minutes up the road.

Gorgeous bach with everything you need for a very relaxing break. Pool and spa complete the stay.

Beautiful views to the Mangawhai Heads, modern spacious home with large kitchen, private pool and hot tub. Great not having the hot summer afternoon sun in the living area. Nice cool breeze all day when you open the large sliding doors. Enjoyed our stay.

Thoughtfully designed and decorated house, ideally located for a peaceful stay. Near enough to Mangawhai but far from the maddening crowds.

We arrived very late, but with great communication with the host, we were able to find and check in without a hitch. The place is much bigger than you would expect, the bedrooms huge and the one has a nice slider for you to view the outdoors from bed. The slider in the main area opens up to bring the outside in. Everything was supplied and easy to find. We did use the hot tub and it was amazing. My nephew is an astronomer and the southern sky from the yard was breathtaking. If you ever get a chance to stay, don’t miss this bach.
