I’ll start this off with the fact I am not a complainer, I am a fixer, I make the best of every situation because it who I am, I’ve never wrote a bad review in my life but this is something I want everyone to know. We arrived at the property by the grace of God. There was no instruction nor indication of it being in a gated area. A gated area should be good, correct? Not after a 14-hour drive at 2am discovering you can't get in. We waited for a resident to drive in to get into the property. Then there were no clear directions. Fortunately, we played detective to find it be looking at the background in posted pics. Upon finally getting into the residence... It was simply unbelievable what we walked into. Dog hair everywhere, dog feces on the floor, absolute FILTHY sheets, again covered in dog hair, wet shower with a used toothbrush on the counter that was wet, speaking of bathroom; a rotten odor poured from the restroom, and we found dirty nasty mildewed towels shoved beneath bathroom vanity, chewed up tennis balls on the couch which again was covered in dog hair. This left nowhere to sleep, nowhere to sit, and you couldn’t breathe anyhow. The property owner had told me there would be a new TV. There was no TV, just a note on the counter that one was “on order.” Not a big deal to some but when you are from 14 hours away working for a week, what else is there to do. I tell the owner and he cusses me out and kicks us out. Promised a refund, received zero. NO service from VRBO.
