We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious and open layout of the property, with rooms conveniently situated close to one another. The location of the property is right next to shops and food places, allowing us to easily stroll around the corner to grab essentials or a quick meal. The property was fantastic, offering parking spaces for multiple cars in the front and additional curb parking within the estate. The host went above and beyond by providing a series of private YouTube videos, which had clear instructions on how to operate every aspect of the house. He even came around to solve a problem we had. This was a very thoughtful touch and was incredibly helpful. There were even large, bassy speakers connected to an iPad with Spotify access that we didn't know about until there, so we could play our favourite music, this added to the overall experience of enjoying this apartment with a big group of mates. Most bedrooms had comfortable beds and enough room to put bags and clothes. The kitchen boasted numerous amenities, and the expansive open room provided a perfect space for dining, socialising and relaxation. We were even fortunate enough to witness the Northern Lights from the garden hot tub area!

One drawback was the room with two single beds, which could benefit from a more comfortable bedding choice. The beds were extremely firm on the single beds and your body would eventually would sink in after some time, the constant noise in this room made it hard to fall asleep—the noise resembled the sound of taps running in a bathroom in a different location. While the hot tub itself was a good size, comfortable, and clean, the method for adjusting its temperature was less intuitive than the majority of modern hot tubs you see. Modern-day hot tubs have buttons for easy temperature control, this hot tub required manually adjusting a turning cog-like tap to increase the temperature on the dial, making it difficult to gauge the right setting. Additionally, there was no option for turning on the jets to create bubbles, so it wasn't like a hot tub experience overall, more like a hot bath outside, which hindered the relaxation experience. Despite these issues, we found ourselves still using the hot tub but only once over the three days, but it wasn't hot enough when we did use it so we only stayed in for half an hour, as we opted to go to the nearby Sky Lagoon and natural hot springs across Iceland for a more enjoyable and unique experience.

It was advertised at a whole property but the owner was staying in the garage and kitchen adjoining room. Our privacy was compromised

It is a very well located area close to bus stops and a 24/7 convenience store. Would recommend to tourists traveling with their families or big groups of friends coming to explore Reykjavik. The house is spacious and has a lot of natural light. The Vinyl collection and sound system is great and since the house is detached you can enjoy yourself without bothering anyone.
