Nice bright clean room, comfortable bed.
Our host was super pleasant.
Could not find a remote to alter volume on TV so gave up on that.

Helpful lady and clean
Very rough towels. It all looked fine but was not up to par. Cheap coffee, cheap shower head. Was not sound proof from within. Other couple staying there had their cargo carrier broken in and stuff taken so obviously not a secure location. A far less expensive motel would have been preferred.

The room was clean. The owner was pleasant.
It was difficult to find the property. Using the postal code in my GPS took me to the wrong location. Getting directions over the phone took me to a second wrong location.
The property is an old law office building in the old commercial area of town with sketchy individuals wandering the streets. Parking is limited behind the building where it did not feel safe to leave a vehicle overnight. How do you get a good night’s sleep when you’re worried you’ll have a broken window in the morning or worse. If my wife was with me she would have demanded going somewhere else.
Not comparable to most decent accommodation mainly due to location!

Location was close to the lake and many shops/restaurants/downtown locations. Our host was very nice and very accomodating. She also took the time to give us additional information regarding parking - even including a map!
The property was SPOTLESS! Off street parking was definitely a bonus!

Location and it was comfortable.
Just a short walk to lakeside restaurant which gave a discount to guest.
Only the hot water took a long time to come through and the stairs but they are only little things. Nicole did carry my wife’s suitcase up which was very good of her to do.
If you book a room look for a message from The owners to make booking In easier.

Location was excellent. In the heart of downtown Kenora. Apartment was clean, bright, roomy and fully stocked. Bed was very comfortable. Room to park in back of the building. Will recommend to friends

The location was good.
I felt it was quite overpriced for what it was. We travelled from Vancouver to Toronto and stayed in 8 different places. This was by far the most expensive and one of the least impressive. It was small, no couch or easy chairs to sit in, not even some milk/cream for coffee. The host could have done some inexpensive touches to make it more worth the money. Ie: even milk/cream for coffee, perhaps a couple of yogurts in the fridge. As it was, we didn’t even have coffee as we don’t drink it black. All other places we stayed were $130 or less and had those small but nice little touches that would save us from having to go out and grab breakfast.
It was a nice place, but should have been appropriately priced at $150 maximum, all in at the absolute most. Even at that price it would have been the most we paid in every place we stayed, including a beautiful place in Kelowna with views of rolling vineyards.

The property is really really good. The owner Nicole is super friendly and helpful. The building is set up really well and the room it’s self was superb, really modern and absolutely spotless. They have put a lot of personal touches to the rooms to make it feel homely. A lot of 5 star hotels could learn a lot about cleanliness standards from the owners of this property. Location is also great with the harbour under a 2 minutes walk and free parking at the accommodation. 😃

Stone House was a pleasant surprise. From booking through to my departure the service was excellent. The accommodations far better than any hotel I’ve stayed at in Kenora and location has a beautiful view of the lake. Everything you could want is within a short walk of stone house. I’m booking three more stays with them.
