Handy location for city centre; big room, comfy bed and all very clean.

Parking tricky but plenty of secure packing in Truro which are in walking distance.

Bedding was clean and nicely made.

I didn’t get a good feel for the property when I went in. I was given instructions for a key box to let myself in - I met another tenant when I opened the door. I couldn’t find the owner to get more information and for the hour I was there no one came to meet me. I expected more of a B&B style but it was more like a bed sit/house share. The room I had smelt damp and it said there was a private bathroom but I didn’t find this. It wasn’t near the room and I wouldn’t have felt comfortable if needing to use it elsewhere in the house at night for example given there seemed to be a few different people staying there. The only bathroom I found had other people’s clothes/wash stuff in it. The room also had an interlinking door to another bedroom which was blocked by a sofa and only a very small lock that was open. There was also a lot of chipped paint on the window sills which clearly hadn’t been dusted for a while. I ended up leaving the property and staying elsewhere as I just didn’t feel comfortable. Sure it was probably fine but first impressions weren’t great.

Property not as described. This isn’t really a guest house more of an HMO that rents out rooms to paying guests . Room listed as having a private bathroom NOT CORRECT ! - reality is a shared bathroom with owner , permanent residents , and other guests not sure how many that would be if it was full guessing on our visit at least five of us ? . City view from ground floor non existent , wardrobe ? not in our room . Coaxial but no telly attached . Broken sash window lock so no security in our room potentially opened from outside. No tea and coffee facilities in room offered ,provided in shared kitchen but where the guests items and the residents provisions started and ended was not clear . All of this would be fine if it was described as such but not my choice to share the problem is the listing details.
