We enjoyed our brief stay. The unit was well equipped and roomy. Mattresses are probably ready to be replaced.

The location was prefect and the size of the condo was relatively small but adequate for our needs of 4 people. Although a little older than some other surrounding condos, the property was nice with the following exceptions related to the kitchen. The kitchen was in need of some fixes. There was only one old and scratched frying pan, no baking pans, the dishwasher was no longer attached to the counter and would tip forward, the outside electric grill did not work, and in general the items in the kitchen for cooking were limited.

Check-in was welcoming and easy! Front desk staff were courteous and helpful. He told us that due to the lack of A/C he had been into the condo and opened the windows to cool it down, he had also put fans in the two smaller bedrooms. Having been warned by previous comments of stifling heat in the condo, this had been our concern and our first impressions were not great - it was very hot inside! However, we opened every window that could be opened, including the French doors onto the small balcony. Switched on the ceiling fans in the master bedroom and the living area. The first night was still a little warm, it had been a very hot day - but leaving most of the windows open at night and during the day meant that it cooled down and was comfortable for the remainder of our stay. I would rather be able to open windows than have to use A/C when sleeping. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and we slept very well! It was lovely to be in the mountains - I loved the views from the master bedroom balcony and the living room. We did not eat in the condo, other than breakfast as we preferred to be outside. However, the small kitchen was well equipped. There was quite a lot of construction going on at Snowmass, thankfully our condo was a little further up the road from the new construction, and we were relieved that we had not paid a fortune to be right next to the construction site like some of the apartments - with open windows the noise would have been terrible. The condo was very clean and housekeeping was available every day - though we declined it most days. The swimming pool and hot tub were a welcome perk at the end of the day after hiking or mountain biking - and a fun spot to watch the last mountain bikers coming down the mountain! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Our stay in Snowmass Village was excellent! The location was very accessible to activities in Glenwood Springs and Aspen for everyone, and also great access to fly fishing just minutes away. It was nice to come back to the condo after an active day. The stove was indeed fixed from a previous review. The complex overall is very nice. The only drawback for Chamonix 46, specifically, is the balcony from one of the bedrooms connects to the entrance way. It is very easy for anyone to jump the small gate to access the balcony. Since there is no A/C in the condo, we wanted to leave the windows cracked during the day, but we could not leave that window open. It made it tougher to cool that room down in the evening, and there was some concern to leaving the sliding glass door open all night. One note about Chamonix 46 is the front door does not automatically re-lock after it is unlocked with the key card. You need to turn the deadbolt to ensure the door locks when you leave the condo. I believe we actually left the door unlocked when we left the first morning. Thanks to the cleaning service lady for locking the door. Neither of these issues would prevent us from staying in Chamonix 46 again and we would recommend the condo to our friends. It is just good to know the little things going in. Thank you, Stephen C.
