Very basic but clean comfortable and very welcoming

The only thing I didn’t like was no en suite but I knew that going and would definitely not put me off stopping there again

Owner twice became aggressive, in my view. I felt uncomfortable in the property and there was no radiator in the room, which made it hard to sleep. On my final night the owner came home drunk and unable to get in so threw stones at the window of the room to get attention. I explained to him I needed to leave early so needed sleep. He continued to slam around and have his TV on full volume until 11pm, so ended up cutting my stay short and leaving to drive home through the night. Also repeatedly came across urine on the seat and floor in the shared bathroom. The owners behaviour left a lot to be desired, and was very inappropriate in my eyes especially as there was a solo female guest staying at the same time. Also the room has some health and safety issues, such as the kettle being right next to a horizontal plug and just above the bedside lamp. I have complained to booking.com and asked to be contacted, instead got a 10% refund, which I think is less than adequate but they're ignoring my emails.
