Our family of 10 (ages 12 to 82) stayed here 2 years ago and were all anxious to return. This property overlooks Puget Sound and the large deck and windows provide gorgeous views of the water and Olympic mountains, vessels and cruise ships that pass by, and bald eagles nesting in the trees. This year we also saw 3 orcas swimming offshore. The younger family members enjoyed the shore area and kayaking. It is peaceful and quiet as you are isolated from neighboring properties. A few minor complaints: the obvious mailbox coming in STILL shows the number 4058 instead of 4070, and the long driveway has not been improved. The deck had plants growing through the floors and broken gate. The steps going to the beach had not been improved, but our younger family members still enjoyed the shore at low tide and did some kayaking. (One son-in-law tried to clean up the overgrown weeds a bit. Another son-in-law fixed the loose faucet in the kitchen.) The home has nice furnishings and the internet is great, but it is beginning to look like it needs some TLC. The kitchen is well equipped but has hit and miss pan sizes and utensils, and the broiler in the oven didn't work. The ice maker still provided surprises for us, the locks are quirky, and some light bulbs need replacing. These are all minor complaints leading us to believe the owners don't spend time there. Would we come back here again? Probably, because we love this island and the quiet location.

The place was magic and created a wonderfulw relaxing atmosphere for our family getting together. It is quiet and we can see eagles flying while simmering in the Jacuzzi. A wonderful time thank you

It has everything you could want regardless of weather...a nice big deck, access to the beach, hot tub and game room. Door handle is tricky and you have to light the grill and fire pit by hand, but other than those quirks this was a great experience.

Everyone loved it, and it really felt like a RETREAT! On our last evening a pod of orcas went by, putting our Whale Sighting Network Staff into an excited flurry of action to share the whale report, so fun to see them in action! This was the perfect spot for us to gather and plan the future of our Nonprofit, and get to know each other better.

Private place to ourselves with plenty of beds and seating space. Easy check in, key used to lock/unlock, gorgeous view of the Sound with sunsets on clear days. Hot tub was delightful, gas fire pits worked great, and parking fit 3-4 cars but no more.

Our stay here was very enjoyable. We had a blast with the game room and enjoyed the hot tub. Definitely will be back again.

This is a lovely family home with all the necessary comforts in a stunning location. Beach access is for able bodied folks only, but once you get down there, it’s a very clean and private stretch of sand. The game room was a very big plus as well.

We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck and the house was very comfortable. The fireplace and hot tub worked great! The bedrooms could use some more lighting is the only thing I would improve

Great property. The location could not be beat!

The musty/mushroom smell of the home and guest house was off putting. The home needs some TLC, but was a beautiful location, well stocked, The open concept is great, we played games, enjoyed restaurants and shopping. We had a great time together. We did not take advantage of the game room and loft bedroom due to the smell.

Beautiful house, larger then expected with great Sound, mountain, and sunset views. High end Fi shout and we’ll stocked. We had a little trouble locating the stand-alone converted two story garage which houses an incredibly stock game room with a bedroom suite above. The game room was very popular with the youngsters in the morning allowing the adult to sleep in. We would diffintely rent again.

Had some issues with hot water supply faucet in kitchen, had to turn the valve off because it was steaming up through sink drain. There could have been more suggestions of things to do in the guest book. Lighting was minimal throughout house and some lightbulbs needed replacing. Game room needs updating. Fluorescent lights are overwhelming. Leaking water in game room. Beds were very uncomfortable.

It is a lovely home .... 9bviously not lived in. The property management people were highly responsive but there were a few things lacking. We made due. The beds are comfy and the game room was fun. The beach and forest surrounding the house was incredible. We would stay there again. We enjoyed all the amenities.

Barranco is a beautiful, high bank property, facing West. It's got something for everyone; fully loaded ipod for dance party, indoor gas fireplace, outdoor gas fire pit, hot tub, ping pong, beach access and more! The kitchen is well appointed, range is awesome, and there's room to spread out. We had a lovely weekend celebrating my son's 14th bday. Muchas gracias a los duenos por compartir con nosotros!

A group of us went away to celebrate a 40th birthday, basically a bunch of moms getting away for a long weekend. Everything was perfect! The views were outstanding, the house set up was great, there was plenty of space to relax if you wanted to or play games if that was your mood, the hot tub was lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed. I hope to come back another time!

Everything was good. A few kinks, but worth the stay.

We had a fabulous time at this vacation rental! It was spacious, had a gorgeous view and lots of great places to hang out in a group. The teens loved the game room and we all enjoyed playing games and sharing meals at the large dining table. The only minor issues were that we could not get the fireplace to work and the upstairs loft could have been more thoroughly cleaned (popcorn on the floor next to the bed when we arrived and the windows could use a good washing).

This was a lovely property to gather the women in winter, and rest, walk, eat, and commune. The house is well appointed, comfortable and elegant, and the games room in the guest house was a ton of fun! There are several childhood air hockey and ping pong champions among us.
