Location was good, room was clean and comfortable, bed was clean and comfortable
Shower didn’t work which was really disappointing. Coffee machine didn’t work which was really disappointing and even if it had there was only one coffee pod. There were no instant coffee sachets as back up either. As there was no breakfast option this meant having nothing in the morning at all which was not acceptable. In addition to all this, there was nowhere to check out and we had to leave via fire exit which meant taking all our bags downstairs and one of us holding the door open while the other took all the bags and clothes to the car. Otherwise the security lock would have stopped us being able to go back inside. So, whilst the room itself was pleasant and comfortable we were overall very dissatisfied.

Our stay was severely impacted by the substandard condition of the five rooms we occupied. Upon discovering the issues, we notified the manager and receptionist. The rooms were left uncleaned, with unflushed toilets, cobwebs on the walls, and dusty tables. The coffee machines and kettles were dirty, and we had to request their cleaning. This was not an isolated incident; all five rooms exhibited the same issues.

Stair not good for 2 80plus year old although to be fair owner did offer to help us with our luggage

Good location, very helpful staff. Food in the pub was excellent and at a good price.
The cleanliness of the shower was not at a good standard with black mould on the tiles and at the bottom on the sealant. Also the drain was blocked which caused the shower to flood the bathroom floor.

Friendly, welcoming staff - chatty locals too, quite an unusual experience! Excellent food at the bar with a good, varied menu. Coffee machine in the bedroom was a very nice touch, and the room itself was comfortable, spacious and very clean.
