The price is low if you’re just staying overnight and then continuing your journey elsewhere. I stopped overnight in Montreal on my way to Quebec City, and I found the prices at this hotel reasonable.
I noticed that a few other reviewers commented on the cleanliness of the rooms. There were blood stains in the bathroom when I checked in (see attached photo). I don’t know how this wasn’t spotted by the cleaning staff after the prior occupant vacated the room.

Friendly welcome and spacious accommodation
Bed was far too soft and there was a lot of noise from the street, making sleeping difficult. Not enough crockery or cutlery, making a dishwasher useless as one had to wash plates as you use them, so never fill a load.

It was really clean and convenient to have a studio-like room
The neighborhood is really dirty and the fact that there are kitchens make the hotel sometimes smelly🤷

The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. You could feel every spring through the mattress.

The apartment was roomy and the hotel was close to the old quarters of the city

The Room was quiet and very clean. Only met two staff members but both were pleasant and helpful.

The rooms were an excellent size. The location was perfect -- close to everything you could need and metro stations minutes away. The kitchenette was well stocked with what you would need to cook and clean towels were always available at the front desk. The woman who was working the desk Saturday and Sunday was absolutely lovely, she was very helpful and kind.
I did especially like that a key (or buzz in) was required to access entry to the building and only those with room keys could access the floors beyond the lobby.

The receptionist Sheriff(SP?)SHE WAS SUPERB!!
ALL were very nice and helpful.
Our pick of location was not what we thought it would be. Obviously our fault.
Our bathtub was very slippery, so we put a towel on the tub bottom so as to not slip.
The TV had very little to choose from..would have paid for more channels.

clean, my room was bright and had everything I needed
didn’t have a corkscrew. No automatic front door for disabled.

Staff seemed nice and helpful when I arrived
Tried to organize a cot prior. Lots of miscommunication between the team about if we actually had it. One member over the phone was a bit short about it.

We had the right amount of space for a family of 4. The bedroom had a comfortable queen sized bed, our son said the pull out couch was comfortable, our daughter slept on a cot, she was comfortable as well.
The kitchen in our room was well stocked with what we needed.
The cleanliness was okay... lots of dust and spots that could use some focus.
Parking available for a cost, heated and safe.
The subway metro was close and easy to use.
There's no breakfast included. Even a cold breakfast at the price for this hotel would have been acceptable.
Cleanliness could have been better, but it's a bit of a dated hotel.
There's an extra 3.5% tax added to the prices for "tourism".

Parking is $30 a day

Center to downtown walking distance from attractions.
Needs to be updated is a little dated run down.

Comfortable apartments with shared gym near to Chinatown and the Palais des congres. In itself the staff is very friendly.
Registration and paying the bill was a bit bureaucratic and slow, and they only clean the apartments once a week.
