I liked that we had a place to sleep after a LONG day of travel delays.

We had a long day of delays at the airport and knew that the rental car office would be closed by the time we landed at GRR so we booked a hotel for the night. We finally landed at 2:40 in the morning and arrived at this hotel around 3 a.m. When we got there we tried to check in but the desk employee kept telling us that we did not have a reservation even though I was showing her my email confirmation and receipt of paying $160.00. This was very frustrating after a long day and knowing that we would only be staying there to sleep for about 4 hours before we had to get back on the road. Finally, after pleading with the woman she agreed to give us a room. The rooms were dingy and had an odd smell but we were so exhausted that we could sleep just about anywhere. Around 6-7 a.m. we were awakened by a loud crash of broken glass coming from the hallway. People were talking loudly outside our room so we decided to get up and go. Not sure what happened with the glass shatter but there was a police officer out front. Anyway... the room was WAY overpriced and we were dissatisfied with being told that we did not have a reservation when we, in fact, did. We will skip this hotel next time we are looking for a place to stay in Grand Rapids.

Hotel staff was rude when checking in and we found used cigarette packs in our room. The air conditioner didn’t work properly - when it was on, there was a shrill whine that made it impossible to keep on for very long. They told us they were out of do not disturb signs and they didn’t have enough full-sized towels so after using the pool we were only able to get large hand towels

Personnel’s customer service was lacking and rude. The lack of regular hotel necessities like towels and DND signs.

it was nice and clean and updated a bit and perfectly suited what I needed to do. Nice that they provided real breakfast.

Telephone in the room was not working, could not contact front desk from room. Carpets were very dirty. Could not change TV channel. TV could be turned on and off, but could not change channels. It would stay on just one channel.

Facility is not maintained at all.
