Lovley place that feels like a home away from home. Danielle was extremely helpful and nice and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Conveniently close to DIgby where we went on a whale cruise. Each room has a balcony with a view to smiths cove where you can watch the tides of the bay of Fundy come and go. Perfect for families.
Loved everything

They couldn’t have breakfast because of staffing shortages. We had a room with EVERYTHING. Coffee, microwave, fridge. Shower was fantastic and SUCH comfortable bed. We had a little table in our kitchen with chairs for our own private deck with a beautiful view! And a couch if we had company.
I don’t know if it’s ever possible…but putting families on one end of the building and just couples on the other end would be super. Those little turkeys sometimes love getting up early,

This property was not as advertised on booking.com. The pictures were out of date, there was no longer breakfast included, it's under new management and no longer has "Joanne who bakes muffins and plays guitar". The property was run down and the beach was not nearly as nice as shown in the pictures. This was definitely not worth the price we paid, it was extremely disappointing and we cancelled our second night.

View was excellent. The breakfast was not served due to lack of employees. The room was quaint, well kept, yet older. Lots of charm.
The people next door smoked pot on their deck out back - several times. I should have reported it, but I didn't know it was illegal in Canada. It is legal now in USA.

The view from this inn on the water was geat , especially sitting on the open air balcony overlooking the Anapolis Basin.
It is an old facility so the walls are echoing the guest next door with young children. We have survived.

The view is spectacular and each unit has the same view.
The screen door would slam every time you went out this disturbing other guests. On the site it says breakfast is included but once we got there , there was a story about not finding any staff. I feel this should have been disclosed prior to arriving just to keep guests informed instead of surprising them with this info.

We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were comfortable and well equipped with dishes, etc. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the view of the bay. The staff was super helpful and friendly, we'd love to come back!

It was along the water.
It was close to downtown
It was a little musty. I did not have sheets for my pull out couch for a night.

. Perfect location with beach access. Was able to barbecue and host provided table cloth. Lovely view of beach from balcony.
The place is old and could use updating. It was clean and I loved the kitchen area. Wine glasses and two small refrigerator.

Nice view of the bay.
Stove did not work and Barbecue was very dirty, so we could not cook anything.

The beds were new and comfortable.
View of the beach was great, along with the private patio.
Bathroom is very small and needs to be renovated.
Kitchenette cabinetry needs renovated.
Senior couple advertised as providing music, fresh-baked muffins, and a dining experience have apparently sold the establishment.
It's advertised as an Inn, but it's really just a roadside motel.

The view of the cove and private beach area. The cleanliness. I liked it had a kitchenette. Seaside atmosphere. Great for families. We ended up staying a fourth night!
Breakfast is no longer served ! Other then that, I don’t really have any complaints.

Joanne and Albert are exceptional hosts. The most friendly and helpful people we came across during our visit to Nova Scotia. Hensley House is unique in character and has amazing views to Digby and a perfect sunset. Great location for a base to visit many great places

Joanne made the place!! Exceptional hostess...her muffins, jams and music were a delight!
Thoroughly enjoyed the beach walk!
Everything was wonderful! So peaceful here!🙏

Had a wonderful view and our favourite part was the host who played and sang us a song during breakfast.
The only drawback was the musty smell of the room. It was very strong. We would give a top rating if it weren’t for that. We are both very sensitive to smell so it was difficult for us to sleep at first. Thankfully the beds were heavenly!

If you were born with a Silver Spoon in your mouth you may want to go somewhere else, but if you are looking for a clean comfortable stay with great hospitality then you will want to stay here. Joanne goes above and beyond to make your stay the best possible. With a voice like an angel she and her husband will provide you with the best NS hospitality while they entertain you with songs and stories during your breakfast. The beach is spectacular as is the morning sunrise
