The hotel is adequate and very conveniently placed for our needs. Breakfast was adequate but mediocre. The hotel in general and room in particular was clean.

The toilet was 'running' all the time. We did not report this as it was not critical and we expected cleaning staff to notice and resolve.

beware of the South Colchester Academy Basketball Team. What a nightmare. Kids running up and down the hall, slamming the doors, yelling in hallway, all while the coaches did nothing to quiet these animals down. What an embarrassment for their school. This behaviour went on from 5pm to well over midnight. When booking here, ask if there are sports teams staying. if so, get a room far far away from them and on a floor above them. They sounded like a herd of elephants. Can't imagine what it sounded like in the rooms below them

Friendly helpful staff. Coffee machine in the lobby made excellent coffee.

Close to the highway so could hear some traffic noise.
