Mattresses were comfortable. Free parking.

One of the beds had metal brackets exposed and I hit my ankle on it twice getting in and out of bed. I now have a cut and bruise on my ankle. I included a photo below. When I addressed this at the front desk I was offered 1000 points if I joined the holiday inn points club. I said no thank you I was just letting you know so you could have someone fix it before someone else gets hurt. The elevator down button on the 2nd floor did not work. Every time we wanted to go down we had to press the up button and ride it up to whatever floor called it before going back down to the lobby. The “restaurant” was awful for breakfast. We waited at least 5 minutes at the hostess station to be seated before we saw the one waiter who was working. He finally told us to seat ourselves. He never asked us if we wanted a menu so we assumed it was buffet only. Nothing stated the price anywhere. The selection was abysmal. Nasty scrambled eggs, sausage links, undercooked potatoes, and soggy French toast. Plus some stale pastries and unripe melons. We were literally shocked when the bill came and we were charged $27.50 EACH! We asked the waiter what the heck!! For this you want $28? He did change it to only charge us for the continental breakfast which we appreciated. But even that was ridiculous. That is the kind of breakfast most hotel chains include with your stay. I will not only never stay there again but will never stay at another Holiday Inn if I can avoid it.
