Harder bed

I liked that it was close to my son's school.

In the first room we checked into, the fridge was unplugged and very hot, and the remote for the TV was working. We got our room switched only for the toilet to be clogged, and they couldn't fix it. We had our room changed for the third time, and even though it was clean, the bed wasn't very comfortable. Overall we did not enjoy our stay especially for the proce we paid the just one night.

The hotel was generally clean and the staff was friendly. We just stayed a night on our way further south. Location was good and included breakfast buffet was quite satisfactory.

The room heater was a bit loud.

you could tell the hotel gym was not clean just by touching the weights in there, same with the treadmill. the wipes available in the gym to use we’re dried up-so you can clearly tell no one has used them. stains on the hotel rooms floor. i had to unplug things in my room just to have outlet usage.

Facilities were clean. Staff was very nice.

No matter the setting, the room stayed hot. Our view was of the awning out front, so no view basically.

Breakfast was OK. Not central to town , but good location for access to highway. Nice for a walk along the river. Close to Penn College.

Manager was grumpy when I arrived an hour before 3:00, said she was busy but there was no one on the loby. Would not check me in till 3:00. Though I indicated 12:00 arrival on my registration. (Note however that the clerks gave a friendly nod to acknowledge passing customers and seemed courteous enough when I observed them.) I was told house keeping was every other day, which is fine. But I did put up the "do not disturb" sign. Then house keeping knocked on the day no service was scheduled and while I was on the phone. And someone knocked on my door at 7:00 AM on check out day. It was not likely to be a patron, there were few on that floor. Policy on check out day? Angry staff? No information in the room about hotel policy, check out time, pool hours, breakfast, etc. No info on local restaurants, points of interest.
