Location is great, fantastic views of the water. Beds/pillows were comfortable. Room was very clean. Loved the history & decor of the place.
Bathrooms in lower level rooms need to be updated. Alot of stairs!

Historic feel, free parking, USB ports in room, clean, nice staff, nice dining room with view. Room was quiet.
Room was small and in need of renovation. Sink was cracked, tub was difficult to shower in, towels on shelf in shower were too high, shelf under bathroom mirror was tilted, and TV was hard to figure out. Breakfast quality was very disappointing.

The rooms were small but clean and seemed to have been updated somewhat recently. The pool area itself is nice and overlooks the river.
Across the board we found the hospitality to be underwhelming. We arrived earlier than anticipated at the hotel and checked with the front desk to see if our room was ready, it wasn't, so we thought we could use the pool anyway while we waited. We were informed that you cannot use the pool until you have been checked-in to your room. Furthermore, we were told on the day of check-out that you cannot use the pool either. We are frequent travelers for both leisure and work and have literally never encountered such a policy. Desk staff insisted that wristbands needed to be worn by all guests at the pool at all times and that new wristbands must be procured EACH DAY at the front desk. Yet the wristbands were not required to enter the pool and no one was at the pool checking for wristbands?
The staff at the pool bar were disorganized and the blonde woman who seemed to be the "lead" bartender was not particularly pleasant. Some staff said we could charge to the room, others said that was not allowed. It seemed to be dependent upon which staff member took your order?
We were in-town for a wedding and the farewell breakfast was held at the sister property, the Oyster Point Hotel. When one guest asked for a Diet Coke, they were told that it wasn't included in the menu (juice, coffee, and tea) and that they would have to go to the bar and purchase their soft drink. I understand having a set menu, but when you have people spending literally THOUSANDS of dollars at your establishment, throw in the Coke.
On the day of check-out, housekeeping PUMMELED our door at 8:30am, waking up not only us, but our two small children. So, thanks for that.
This is not a case of us believing that "the customer is always right", just that hospitality generally dictates making your guests comfortable and doing what you can to meet their needs in such a way as to require minimal effort on their part.

room location - next to noisy wedding and by a door that slammed

I’ve stayed at this property before. and I find it to be very nice
i booked this reservation through Booking and the price was $149 plus tax bringing it to $171. this was already upgraded for this price . when I checked in I was assigned rm 109. King Navesink I asked if this was a elevator access room and was told NO it was not. i asked if it could be changed and she called manager which I was assigned rm 141 which I could access elevator to get to assigned rm . I was charged an additional $10. for ? it was the same room type. when I checked my CC account I see where the hotel initially charged $220.82 on my CC and then changed it to $182. Called to speak to someone in accounting left message and no return call
