Met all expectations for an overnight stay, wish we could have stayed longer

We chose this motel for affordability and location, allowing us to do a whistlestop visit to the heart of the Everglades within very limited time. Traveling from the Florida Keys, we were able to do an excursion in the afternoon of our arrival and we had booked another excursion the next morning (we also managed to fit in an airboat trip in the afternoon, on our way to Miami airport to fly to Nashville!). We arrived (inevitably) after the scheduled closing time of the office, but the Receptionist (so sorry, I can't remember your name, if you told me) was working late and was extremely helpful with local information, including good advice about a local fish restaurant. My wife does not like motels but this one was an exception! The room was extremely comfortable and included a small kitchenette with just about every facility you could want (and, sadly we could not use). For fishermen the facilities go beyond what we were able to make use of but we did enjoy the small but adequate outdoor pool!

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We loved sitting on the beautiful deck overlooking the water.

Adequate but over priced!

Didn't get any breakfast....seemed comparable to a motel 6.the

Very good

amazing location and lovely old property- well old for the USA! easy parking and can walk places for dinner .

some of the facilities need up dating although massive renovation going on post hurricane. They only have a person there for a very short period each day which can make check in tricky . Slightly overpriced for such a simple room .

Difficult to rate as stay was spoiled by freak cold snap, meaning we didn't use pool or deck much

The property's fabulous, spacious deck, which is beside a channel where dolphins pass

The kitchen facilities and equipment. I had expected an apartment or the "feel" of an apartment but the place is very much a motel.

it’s ridiculous to make guests pay for keurig coffee refills when they are already paying so much for the room. Any other hotel would include it at that room price.

It was an expensive stay for the quality of the room.

Exceptional

This was my second stay at the Boat House and it was just as nice as the first time. The rooms are CLEAN and the AC was cold. This place reminds me of an old school beach motel. It's walking distance to the Snook Inn Restaurant and close to where we needed to be for our shelling boat tour. We used the pool which is nice and enjoyed sitting on the dock. This is a great little place!

Completely discourage anybody from going there

View of the water and getting able to see the boats

The floor was so dirty our feet turned black. miss matching sheets comforters. Extremely strong smelly deodorizer. Super old needs updating

Airline canceled flights (happening all over country that week), literally no way to get to the property. We petitioned the hotel to consider ANY "meet in the middle" remedy, emphasizing that this situation was no ones fault, and we were not expecting a substantial refund. Instead of a "We are so sorry this happened to you" tone in reply - we got a one line reply where they "type shouted" in all caps the word "YOU" and sent a screen shot of the fine print no refunds policy. A simple gesture of not being charged a cleaning fee equivalent (for example) is all they could/should have done. It is called reasonable decency. It is called win-win. Not at The Boat House.

The whole trip was very relaxing and comfortable. We felt like we were in paradise.

The location was amazing! The best part of it all was the wonderful staff. Very friendly and they would go out of their way to make sure you had everything you need. We were walking distance to restaurant/shops/bar. Being right on the water was very nice. The pool area clean and comfortable. We loved this place. It was very affordable. We will definitely be back.
