Breakfast was absolutely wonderful!!! Location nice by the bay.
Town of Eureka itself not so impressive but service at the hotel was excellent!

The room smelled very very musty. Not an expert, so not sure if there is a problem with the HVAC or carpets, but it was immediately noticeable when entering the room and an absolute turnoff. Don't know if it was just this room, but by the time I checked in this was the last room of this size available (and I was traveling with the whole family, I needed three beds), so I couldn't be switched. Had I not already paid for the room via booking.com I probably would have looked elsewhere to stay. Carpets felt dirty in the room. Was uncomfortable having my toddler crawler sometimes on them. Now, it wasn't filthy. It wasn't disgusting. We did stay. The musty smell was tolerable enough. But, this was the worst place we have stayed in a while. Wouldn't book again.

Room was nice enough: clean & comfortable & served our purpose for a one night stay on a 3 week road trip. Bed was comfy & room was well equipped with fridge, microwave & coffee maker. Enjoyed proximity to the beach.
Guests below our room did not respect non smoking policy & the smoke from their weed drifted up to our room, so we had to keep the slider shut. My check out folio was for $189, but somehow my credit card was charged $208. Don't know what the extra $20 was for & need to contact the hotel. Edit: ( contacted hotel & they are looking into it)

Quiet, and clean. We stayed in the “Garden Area”, very nice. We felt safe, and secure. Just steps away from a bay front trail. Property was right smack in the middle of everything we wanted to do.
Nothing Really.

The jacuzzi room with balcony was so awesome I could actually fit in the jacuzzi with my fiancee which was so nice to do on my birthday.
I called the front desk and I got nothing but attitude not even a how can I help you. Since I live in Eureka I figured I can figure it out but if I was from out of town and was talked to like that I would have asked for a manager. No one should feel like a nuisance on vacation.

The room was super comfy. The staff were top notch, Silva and Merced in the breakfast bar area were super helpful and friendly. the food was outstanding. Everything you could possibly want in a breakfast bar. Hot and fresh and well stocked. Having a breakfast bar is really convenient as we didn't have to load up the kids in the car and head to another restaurant, etc. just to start our day off on the right foot, with super delicious food with many choices.
The front desk staff were also very efficient, friendly, and helpful. James, Zac, Courtney and Tina were always ready to help no matter what we needed. Delivered the crib and fan super fast. Gave us suggestions for the area, etc.
I could not recommend this place more. The area was clean, and quiet. Some rooms backed up to the water, Elk Spit area and was lovely to look at and provided a nice place to walk. The sunset was awesome too. Provides a nice place for a long walk if you have the time.

Day staff and night guy at check in was great. Breakfast staff was exceptional
The fire alarm going off at midnight was not cool. 3specially since it 2as triggered by someone smoking, which apparently happens all the time with no resolution? The staff treated it like normal business?
Also the balcony window faced a glaring street light which didn't help with comfort.

the pet room was overwhelming pet smelling in a way that no other hotel has been for us and our toilet, shower, and sink was clogged so no shower on Xmas day but the staff were trying to be helpful to us.

This is a very comfortable and clean hotel on the south side of Eureka. The staff were all great. Our room was comfortable and very quiet. The breakfast choices were abundant and the staff was there to keep everything fresh and replenished.

the staff were very friendly and welcoming, we’ve stayed here quite a bit so we mostly come as its pet friendly and the location is practical. we enjoy the layout and design too.
other than pet friendly, the main reason we’d booked here and not just spent the night in our converted van and saved $200 was for the hot tub and pool facilities. when I booked there was no notice about it being closed but when we arrived we were informed both facilities had ‘just closed’, but it was clear they’d been closed for some time. when I went to fill the water bowl with cool water for the dog, all the cold taps were running warm so I headed to the 3rd floor ice machine which was not working so went to the second floor. it was just not what I expected for the $200 and if we’d known the pool was closed we would of just made our other arrangements and saved the money.
