Location and great front desk staff
HVAC noise, soiled carpets and some restaurant staff attitude

Second room overlooked the beautiful buildings across the street
First room overlooked the dumpsters. Bathroom too small. Furniture is old and the USB outlet did not work.
9.0
The room was very clean and the staff was very nice. The helped with explaining how to use the metro and we were able to travel to all of our destinations on the metro.
The bathroom was very small for three people. But it was cleaned nicely every day of our stay.

Wonderful location near Dupont Circle. Excellent access to the metro (2 minute walk/just around the corner). Did not require a car to get around DC, which is a plus. Clean rooms, great staff. Enjoyed my stay. My room had a great view of the street (instead of another side of the hotel), which was wonderful. Would book again. Thank you.
There is no fridge in each room, HOWEVER it was easily requested and brought promptly to the room. Overall, not a big deal. Something to keep in mind.

The staff were friendly and the lobby was welcoming/clean. The location was wonderful. We paid extra for the hotel breakfast which was definitely worthwhile.
When we arrived to our hotel room, I noticed 3 small holes across the bed sheet and comforter. Then I saw 3 small red dots across the comforter as well. It looked as if it was blood. When we left our hotel room shortly after that for dinner, we asked reception to switch the bedding. When we arrived back to the hotel at about 10pm, the receptionist asked if we would be okay with switching rooms instead. We agreed and they said someone would be up in 5 minutes to bring us to our new room. We were frustrated and tired having to pack up our belongings to a new room. No one came for about 12 minutes so we went back to reception and let them know. They gave us the key to our new room, which they said was an upgraded suite. They also offered us wine for the following day, so we requested white wine.
Our suite did not feel upgraded in the slightest. It was the same kind of room. When we entered our new room we checked the bedding and we saw 2 large dirt streaks across 2 of the pillows. It was incredibly frustrating to have to deal with requesting new bedding again - just wanting to relax after a day of travel. It is not the kind of cleanliness you'd expect of a boutique Marriott hotel. When someone came to give us new pillowcases, they said that our suite actually includes the room across from us as well. However, our key cards were never able to access it. Tired of having to ask for things, we just let it go.
The following day there was wine in the room, but it was red wine. It felt frustrating again to have to ask for something when we had requested white wine. It felt like each step of the way was an annoying task to help we had to do in order to make our stay more comfortable. Considering the rate we paid, it should have been met to higher standards.
Lastly, I was excited to stay at this hotel especially for the rooftop pool and bar as it is pictured on the hotel's website. However, we were really disappointed by the lack of cleanliness at the pool as well.

Breakfast was a good varied choice made to order. Location was excellent with great transport links local to the hotel
Lighting in the room was a bit poor for us

The location is a block from my daughters place , very convenient. The hotel is very clean and uncluttered. The staff was friendly , polite and helpful -
There were no towels in my room when I arrived. The pillows are very soft & mushy , don’t do much to provide support to the head and neck. Entering the hotel from the street is a very large stairway . It’s difficult to navigate with luggage . There was help maybe half the time.

Location of the property was terrific. Very close to metro station and plenty of food options within walking distance. Staff was very nice and helpful. Property felt safe. Breakfast options were good.
I would have preferred queen beds to double beds.

The hotel was in the best location in DC- Next to DuPont circle .
Parking was expensive

Location was great. Bed was comfy
Bathroom was dated and in need of some tlc. Air conditioning was the noisiest I’ve ever come across.
Service in the restaurant at breakfast was ridiculous, we waited 40 mins for sunny side up eggs and sliced avocado.
7.0
Staff friendliness, good location, cleanliness, comfortable bed
Cooling system of the hotel is very noisy resulting in continuous background noise in the rooms, especially when it is very hot outside and the aircons are intensely running. Difficult to sleep for light sleepers.

Friendly staff, and very good service. Great location and area. Nice room, clean and in very good condition. Lobby and other areas were very good. Price was fare for the property.
The room was nice. The bed was good, but not great. Made a creaking sound each time I got on it. It was a little stiff for me.

I have been a guest at 4th of July multiple times. This year they outsourced the rooftop party and never informed us that extra cost and tickets were needed. This ruined our experience. The pool was dirty. We had to see fireworks from area with no breeze and older furniture. A/c didn’t work well in room. Bed too soft.

We enjoyed the rooftop pool, that was a nice differentiator between other hotels in the neighborhood. Location was very convenient, close to the Metro station and attractions could be in a walkable range. Gym was well equipped.
I did not like cleanliness of the playroom on L2. It was dirty and while we enjoyed the scrabble, the Atari game was broken. The only other games you could play on a rainy day was table tennis or foosball.

Room was big and clean. All staff, from housekeeping to people serving food on first floor were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the breakfasts!! Food was excellent. Appreciate that it was included in the cost of the room. Great location. We'll be back.
Bathroom was a bit small, but manageable. Other than that no complaints.

The room is comfortable and clean, there is valet parking.
The staff at front desk was very lost and unorganized. We booked through booking.com but she didn’t figure that through her system and charged me a higher amount on my card. the property lies about their parking charges on the booking.com website, the charges are higher. When questioned, she directed me to call booking.com instead of calling them herself. She also gave us the wrong room and we had to come back down with luggage to take the key for the other room.

The staff made a mistake to charge twice fee. I wrote to the service email but no one responded. I will not come to the hotel again.

The location is amazing, one of my favorite neighborhoods in DC. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great coffee in the downstairs cafe. Comfortable bed.
There was hair from the previous visitor on the bathroom floor, which makes me think that they could have done a better job cleaning before the next visitor arrives. And the bathroom towels smelled a little weird, they were clean though. In addition, the curtains were old and ripped, they should definitely change them for some new ones.

Dark room, only allowed three items for breakfast, breakfast set up.

rooms are v noisy - heating/air conditioning unit was loud. also my first room had an adjoining room and could hear other guests through door. asked to be moved to a different room which was better.
