Coral Reef at Key Biscayne

Lovely little place!

I absolutely love the location, but above that, I love the staff. They are all very friendly and when I told them about a tinny issue, they addressed it immediately.

There were ants in my room.

The shower drain was very dirty

Location was good. The place was quiet. I slept well.

The room did not have wash cloths, shampoo, or soap. I did ask about this, and was told that they don’t give wash cloths and that they were out of soap and shampoo. Staff found some body wash and hand towels to give. The room had a kitchenette, but no dish soap or dishwasher detergent. There was a sign posted that the pool had been shut down, so people weren’t supposed to use it, but people were swimming in it. When checking in, I requested a later checkout time, and was told we could stay until noon (usual time is 10 am). At 9:30 am the next day, someone knocked on our day saying we had to leave. This was unpleasant. I confirmed in the office, and was told noon was okay to leave. Crandon Park had a lot of Sargassum seaweed on the beach. It reduces the appeal of the beach. It’s sad.
