friendly staff, good breakfast and comfortable bed

As many reviewers before me have pointed out, the breakfast at this hotel is excellent. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and receptive to my needs. Finally, the hotel is minutes from the main Poughkeepsie area.

When I arrived, the hotel had absolutely no running water due to plumbing work. I was not made aware of this before my arrival, and when I talked to other guests, some of them stated they had no hot water for a week prior to the shutdown. The lack of advance communication regarding this problem was disappointing. The gym did not have any wipes for cleaning the equipment, which felt fairly outdated.

Nice location. Rooms are good. Day time front desk host gave 10/10 customer service.

Everything! staff were super friendly, rooms were spacious and comfortable, very clean and definitely somewhere we would stay when visiting our family again.

Lovely room, very confortable. Nice bed, huge tv. Coffee and coffee maker, breakfast ok.

Toilet was too near the shower door. The corner of a salon table was very sharp and i hurt my leg with it. Tapestry on the floor.

We enjoyed the breakfast and we thought Nicole did an excellent job keeping on top of things and making sure everyone had what they needed!

My only disappointment was the the bathroom sink area. I had to keep my toiletries and hair equipment on the floor. It wasn’t very functional.

price for the room was outrageous— definitely jacked up bc of parents weekend

The phone reception was terrible

asked for a room on the top floor when I reserved and the lovely young man at the desk told me he had my request but could not give me a room on the top floor- there were none to be had

The room was stinky.. the aircon was very noisy .. there was no laundry service.. they asked me to wash by myself.. dry cleaning??

the doors to the rooms closed/slammed loudly. the rooms had terrible sound blocking- we could hear the hallway activity clearly. poor shower water pressure along with the flushing toilet, sometimes had to flush twice.

VERY VERY CLEAN Great Stay

Breakfast was good. Variety of choices. Location of hotel to sites we visited.

We requested our room to be made up at 9:00 am on 7/28 with a Ms. Velez, Director of Operations. Upon returning to our room at @ 4:00 pm, we discovered our room was not made up or cleaned. I went to the front desk and inquired about this. Ms. Velez was there. I asked her why the room was not made up. She didn’t know but she said she did report it to the head of housekeeping. At this point I realized there was a lack of communication somewhere but all I wanted was our room made up. It went back and forth, she “understood my frustration” but offered no solution. My wife and I were tired and needed to get cleaned up and rested before our dinner reservations. Finally she disappeared and returned later to inform me that Reggie, a maintenance worker, would make up our room. I asked when and she said he was doing trash removal now and would get to us later. I walked away and walked to the elevator. Reggie came to our room. He offered to change the linens but said he wasn’t sure how to do it. My wife said that wasn’t necessary since we were leaving the next day. He provided us with fresh towels, shampoo, soaps, etc. He did empty our trash cans.He did not clean our room. The card in our room said a housekeeper is available at all times. When we checked out the next day I talked with Ivan Weiner, General Manager. His exact words “ we dropped the ball on this one.” I realize this happens but lack of an effective way to correct the situation was evident. It doesn’t appear there is any check to see if there is a follow up to guest requests. If Ms. Velez would have checked sometime during the day to see if housekeeping completed their job, then this could have been avoided. She was the one to whom the request was made, so the responsibility is hers, my opinion. Reggie was friendly and tried his best.
