The apartment was spacious with a lovely view of the river. The kitchen was well set up and there was even a washing machine.

It was a bit far from the railway station

Location was perfect. Very central. Very clean, everything you need to relax. Nice view. Great for couples.

The ¥3000 a day cleaning charge in cash, a surprise. Booking.com didn’t mention this. So, for two nights, the extra ¥6000 + parking, ¥3000, I think it is better to stay out of the center and commute if you have a pet.

Great privacy to use the entire aparment. Close to the river to have a great view in the morning.

The location of picking up the key should be noted more clearly from the beginning to avoid confusion.

Spacey apartment at great location with everything inside that's needed. You get a code for the number lock at the door. Very reasonable price. I don't have a pet, but you can even bring your pet to the property. Highly recommended.

some of the facilities were a bit old. it was very hard to regulate the hot water and it's been a while I made hot water with a kettle, but that was even kind of fun.

By Japanese standards, perhaps by any standards, this was a spacious 1 bedroom apartment. It had a commanding view over a river, over Kanazawa, and to snow-clad mountains. It was only a couple of kilometres from Kanazawa castle. It was at the start of the Teramachi temple district. Actually it started next door and over the road. 50 metres over the bridge is Katamachi - restaurants and shops, including 4 convenience stores. Which were indeed convenient because I had a decent sized fridge, a microwave oven, a toaster oven, and an induction cooktop. Should you go there you will find entrances to a subway. But you'll read that there is no subway in Kanazawa. Do go down one of these entrances. There's a whole underground shopping precinct reminiscent of Vancouver. On a more mundane note, the toilet, handbasin, and shower/bather were all in separate rooms. There is a washing machine beside the handbasin. It was pretty easy walking distance from Kanazawa Station. You have to go maybe 100 metres to pay and "pick up the key" - actually a code. When you close the door, two 1/2" bolts fire into steel reinforcement. There's even a little balcony and sufficient wine glasses to make the most of it. Oh, and good knives! As an aside to the the question of check-in, you should take advantage of the helpful lady at the place you pick up the "keys" from. She has good English.

I already knew that many Japanese places don't have a bedside lamp. I was carrying an LED torch for that eventuality. Mind you, both the lounge and the bedroom had lights with pull cords that give 3 levels of lighting, right down to romantically low.
