The location was perfect and the parking garage was awesome.

The shower drain was clogged, the ceiling had water stains, and the corner had paint peeling off the ceiling.

The breakfast were good. A variety of items. Also, we enjoyed the fireplace since we were in Monterey on such gloomy days.

I would have loved to have had a desk. I brought my computer to so some genealogy. I asked the office if I could borrow a table and was told they didn't have any. So I didn't do any computer work which was a diappointment. Also, maintenance was doing some construction work in a room close by and we could hear all the hammering and sanding for several hours. This went on the week we were there!

We rented a family suite with 2 bedrooms . No where in the photos of the room or the description of the room did it say that the second bedroom was upstairs. The stairs were very steep. The second bedroom with steep stairs was a complete surprise. Luckily one of us was able to negotiate the stairs . However , the hotel should have advertised that the second bedroom was upstairs …we would not have chosen the room if we knew it had stairs. Also, the first bedroom was not sell contained …it was the main room and the bed was a pull down “Murphy “ bed. When the bed was pulled down , it came within mere inches of a desk area and it was difficult to squeeze by.

This was my second time here. When I first stayed here, I was told that cleaning the room was upon request due to short staff, not quiet sure if that’s why. So when I stayed here for the second time, I was never told that it was still upon request. I stayed for 2 nights. So since I was never told about it, I thought they changed their rules or policies about it, so I was expecting my room to be clean the next day while I was out for the whole day. Came back at night and towels were never changed, still soaking wet. trash bins were all full and it was starting to smell since I had trash of to go boxes in there. They did not have enough towels either, especially that my room had a spa. I was disappointed about the cleanliness.

Across the road from a shopping precinct. A continental breakfast was kindly offered.

While room was clean and tidy, it was more run-down then expected. The fireplace was a nice touch, but did not warm the room up at all.
