Bed Bugs, I was woke at 1:15 in morning getting bit by bed bug. I took it to front desk and he confirmed and was not wanting to deal with their problem. Now it’s 2 am different room and my daughters and my suitcases are comprised. In town for funeral filty

I had a great welcome from Ken. He couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. When I returned to the hotel in the early evening, he took the time to chat to me and to ensure that I was OK. He knew that I was travelling on my own. My room was lovely, view not spectacular but that is where the hotel is, on a main road.
Breakfast was fine, with a choice of cereals, yogurt and fruit. Sweet cakes, sausages and scrambled eggs. The breakfast room was clean and tidy. It's a sign of the times that everything is paper plates and plastic cutlery.
There was nothing that I didn't like.

The first room we were booked in apparently makes it rain into the room below when we use the bathroom. The staff knows about it but issues allowed to close the room. we were moved into a different room at 9pm that wreaked of beer and cigarettes to the point where we had to open the windows and spray everything down with air freshener to try and mask the smell. The hot tub was broken, but we were told we could use the spa till 11pm…so after getting the kids into suits and pumped up to relax, we found nasty water with a thick gross film across it. Front desk said, “well the website says it’s closed.” So I said, “why did you tell us we could use it then?” No answer.
When I asked about a discount for the room fiasco and being put into a nasty stinking room, she just laughed and changed the subject. $94 for this??? This was ridiculously. It made it so much worse to know the staff was already aware of all the issues with BOTH rooms and we were still stuck in them for $94. We deserve something back for this nonsense.

The stairs!! Thought I ask for ground floor room but had to climb stairs!! Bad knees do not fun!!
