Beachliner Hotel

The second floor 2 bed suite with the large private balcony overlooking the beach was just what we wanted. The continental breakfast was delicious and included more offerings than typical.

The bathroom was problematic. So small, the door hit the sink and would not fully open. There was a lack of any space to put toiletries, and the shower was downright dangerous. The shower floor pitched downward (I get it's an old building) and was very slippery- not a good combination. Once inside and wet, you begin to slide and find there is nothing to grab on to! The shower door is smooth glass; I'm surprised no one has crashed through it. Adding an interior bathmat/decals and installing a grab bar should be a top safety priority here.

This is my fourth time staying at The Beachliner and will be back again in a few months. This hotel is the best in Ocean Grove. The walk to the beach is only a few steps, same with the stores and restaurants on Main. The difficulty finding a parking spot is to be expected if you’re familiar with the Jersey Shore, but nothing to complain about. There is a beautiful breakfast spread every morning cooked and set up by Bernadette with drinks and sides to suite everyone’s needs. There is a fabulous cleaning service who works on sight that is super kind and respectful. The rooms and bathrooms are clean with comfortable beds and enough space for everyone. We can’t wait to come back!

Proximity to the beach, wonderful breakfast included, rear decks with furniture and views, lovely front porch. The Innkeeper is fantastic and available. Coffee and home baked cookies are provided, along with cold waters. Beach towels, bikes, and some other goodies are provided as well.

This is an historic inn with some rooms on the fourth floor. The stairs to get up there are steep, narrow and hard to navigate, especially w luggage. Our room 15 was TINY, and the bathroom assigned to us was in the hall with a key code, but all the rooms are different sizes and ours was the only one not en suite. You cannot open the window in that room, either, bc the AC unit is in the window. I really wish I was assigned a different room, considering the price was steep.
