perfect location right on the doorstep of Volcano National Park, secluded and in the middle of a rainforest. It was so peaceful and beautiful.

The home contained everything we needed for comfort and simple leisures, from the practical kitchen to the hot tub on the lanai. Rustic cabin vibe meets vintage Hawaiiana glam. The whole house and property felt meticulously clean and lovingly maintained, so cozy warm and inviting... despite the chilly Volcano nights and mornings! Loved the woodburning stove and good lighting in the livingroom. Having good wifi and tv were plusses, too. The lanai and lush backyard added to our feeling of peaceful and relaxing seclusion. Really loved those perfect chimes hanging in the lanai! Lastly, location was so convenient to everywhere we explored in the area. We will definitely stay at Hale Sweet Hale again! We also hope to try the sister cabin, the larger Aloha Sweet Hale in the future.

Lol. Maybe maneuvering the potholes at night on Anuhea road on the way to the cottage? We arrived after dark, but were met by a clearly lit driveway sign and brightly lit stairs and landing that welcomed us "home". We can't think of anything we didnt like about Hale Sweet Hale.

the groundskeeper was there very early 9 am and was making a lot of noise with outside work and machinery ! checkout is 11 , we thought it could have waited !!

Everything.. if you're looking to get away an feel like a king this is a great place to do it.

Bring a coat or prepared to enjoy a wood stove in Hawaii.

Beautiful cabin nested in a lush garden, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The beds are perfect, the hot tub is so nice after a day hiking in the volcanoes park… things are very smooth and well organized. We were sad to leave…

The pictures were accurate. It's in a fun location

The cottage smells very musty. We had a negative experience with the lock box. It would not open. We had to call the owner in CA. Fortunately she was able to quickly send someone to jiggle the lock box to get it open. It really should be replaced with a new one or with newer technology locks.
