The proximity to the beach and local shops was the best part. The kitchen was very useful for us and we did not have any trouble with parking. The place was also clean and pretty comfortable for a weekend stay.

The keys were supposed to be left in a lock box by the front door. However, the key was in the door when we arrived. This was a little unnerving for us as we arrived very late in the evening, and a key in the door meant anyone could have been in there. The tv did not work and the wifi had a very poor connection.

It looked as though someone had brought a dog before me and left hair on the carpet and the staff didn’t vacuum the bedroom carpet. other than that everything looked clean.

I wish they would update the flooring in the bathroom. Grout is breaking off, and it hurts when you step on it. Second stay at the starfish 2 in two years, and it wasn't fixed. The cleaning staff do their best so it is not on them. Carpet in the bedroom is in desperate need of replacing. I wish the TV was in the living space instead of the bedroom. Wifi does not work well, last year not at all.

There was no breakfast. It was located centrally to where we needed to be.

Starfish 2 in Rockaway Oregon deserves the lowest rating possible. The owners should have to PAY people for having to stay there. It starts with the curb appeal. The entire complex is decrepit and untended. It needs scraping and painting. The walkway is cracked, uneven, and broken in places, creating tripping dangers. There was an enormous weed right at the door to our unit and a branch crossing over into the entry. None of the foliage had been kempt and there were weeds and tall grass everywhere. The units themselves seem from about 1942 and had apparently no insulation between and around them. You could hear everything the people on either side did and said. Moreover, no insulation meant there was a heating problem. The heating units were inscrutable. They worked maybe and then too much. Or they didn't work. There were lots of auxilliary heaters around, indicating the extent of this problem. The furniture was shoddy and broken down. The cabinet door to the TV was just leaning up against it, as someone had evidently broken it off. There was a DVD player sitting there but it lacked the audio and visual cords that would have connected it to the TV unit so was unusable. As was the Wi-fi connection. We were able to connect, but it went out constantly and was SO SLOW that it was useless when it was on--you couldn't load webpages or god forbid try to stream something. There was a lack of side tables or other necessary amenities for travelers that allow you to put things down somewhere. There was no place to put your suitcases up off the floor. There were no bedside tables. There was no coffee table. There were no counters or stands in the bathroom to put out your toiletries. The bathroom floor seemed very spongy. The stove in the kitchen hadn't been cleaned very well. The worst thing was the bed, probably the most important element of a tourist's stay.

walls separating units are so thin we could hear the neighbors all night long. They burnt food at one point and you could smell it in our unit really strong. Street parking, very weak internet.

The location is great.

Dirty dishes, mold in bathroom, dirty carpet, broken tiles on floor in bathroom, loose tiles, no broom to clean up sand, no internet provided as claimed. Will not go back to this rental and will not recommend. Will be posting pictures later with review.

Perfect size for two people.

Walls and doors were not clean. TV is in the bedroom, not in the main part of the house making it difficult for one person to sleep while the other person watches TV. Shower head does not adjust, so my 6'3 husband was unable to successfully shower.
