Owner double booked room, there were bugs on bed, bathroom, previous customers mess not cleaned up, razors lying on bathroom floor, construction work noise early morning on site

Everything. The location was confusing, took us to a wrong place. Before arriving, owner called and asked to pay cash upfront, though card was provided online. Upon arrival, place has a nasty odor and got a room, different from the one on the website. Tipped the owner's brother and got outta there real fast. Oh and be prepared to be accused of lying. Sad experience.

It had an air conditioner.

We didn't feel safe. Someone tried to open the door and it was not explained to is that it would be a shared hostel. There was one filthy bathroom. The bathtub was not clean and there was a torn up tampon and wad of toilet paper in the drawer. Walls and doors were dirty. There were dirty dishes in the sink. I was awoken by a strong fish smell coming from the mattress. The mattress needs to be thrown out. I think someone did a number on it. Was almost electrocuted by the broken outlet. This place really is really dirty and smelly.

The place was unkempt and seemed unsafe. The bed was unmade upon arrival and the code worked for two rooms. We could not get in contact with the host for assistance. We ended up not even staying.

We should have gotten Advance info with code, since Noone was on site and they didn't answer the phone when we called. We awkwardly asked people before getting a call back with the info. Also the wifi and living room TV weren't working

The bed was good but internet was bad

Food scraps were on the floor from arrival to leaving which, ultimately, we cleaned up; The towels were stained and unclean looking; The TV did nor work and at least two other couples, besides us, had informed the owner but it was not repaired; there were unsightly items on the deck and numerous trash items in the yard which was not mowed, trimmed or kept up.

It’s clear that no one does more then make the bed in preparation for guests. It’s tidy but definitely not clean. Needs attention to details ie; toilet bowl dirty, bed curtain had smeared poo on it. I reported to Niece (she was sweet) and she said she would let her auntie know and remove the bed curtain for cleaning. That did not happen, and I ended up taking it off myself later on in the afternoon. Kind of gross. Overall it’s pretty spartan far as things available in the kitchen but it’s relatively comfortable outside of the funk factor. The neighbors downstairs were very pleasant but they were up at all hours talking loudly wondering around outside and just doing their thing. In a pinch it’ll do but If I were to stay here again I would need to clean it to my comfort level before settling in. So in short the people involved in this rental are pleasant, but the space could really use some focused attention for cleanliness primarily in the bathrooms but also attention to what other guests may leave behind i.e. gnarly poo smeared bed curtain. Location is fine. Pretty close to those things you wanna mess around with in Kona long as you have a car.

everything is bad shape..not just old but uncared for landlord finally called to give me room code after 3 phone calls and 2 emails tv didn’t work til other renter rebooted it so we could watch Olympics find a better hostel! this WAS a hostel even though it said you have your own bath and kitchen this should NOT be in booking .com it was horrid compared to my lovely timeshare at Shell vacations the non refundable cost was way too high fir quality only thing good was it was 1/2 the price of any other place to stay except another hostel that’s why I chose it from booking someone at booking did not LOOK AT this place .. before selling it to the rest of us shame on you

I had to cancel our trip because my 90 year old mother has cancer. I was not refunded for this property. I hope they think of this when they are sitting with their dying mother one day, Plus I am disappointed in booking.com. I have booked many times with them but this is the first time the extra cleaning charges were at the bottom and not clearly stated. I thought the room was $95 but unfortunately it was not. I am very disappointed for many reasons

location to airport. we appreciated the host making a physical appearance to sort out who had which unit in which building.

poor site signage, host disorganization with check-in and check-out. it was not clear on the website that you would be sharing the flat with strangers. bathrooms were dirty and some trash not removed.
